For example, we've all heard of the $5 haircut - I have fixed several of them in my lifetime LOL. When that customer is in my chair, I always say, "What did you expect from a $5 haircut?" For $5 dollars, that barber can't afford to invest more than 10-15 minutes on your haircut and that's why he traded quality for quantity. In fact, I remember seeing one of these barbers at a gas station one day where he said, "Abe, we do $5 haircuts on Tuesdays." I replied, "Wow, $5, how do you make a living from that?" He said, "I just cut them fast. By the time you finish pumping your gas, I would already have finished them." LOL This is why I am a believer in putting quality over quantity. In my chair, every dollar you pay is worth it because you will get the quality and time you deserve. I don't believe in rushing, I believe that when you leave my chair you will know that you've just gotten a quality haircut. I don't put emphasis on speed, though I will have you in and out of my chair in a reasonable amount of time. I put emphasis on giving you what you want to the best of my ability. To me, cutting hair is an art form and I always strive to give you the best. Today, most shops make you wait one hour or more just to get you into the chair for a 10-15 minute haircut. I work by appointment only and the most you will ever wait for me is 10 minutes -- that is the type of quality service you can expect when you come see me.
