Abraham Perez - Barber

Perez is an experiened barber offering a wide range of haircuts for males of all ages including fades, tapers, beard shaving/trimming, shape-ups and other specialty services. I've been a barber in the Waterbury, CT, area for several years and currently in Stratford, CT, for the past 4 years. I have learned that barbers often put quantity above quality. It means that their focus in not on the quality of the haircut, but on how many customers they can get in in a day or in an hour. I've always been a believer that quality outweights quantity. For example, we've all heard of the $5 haircut - I have fixed several of them in my lifetime LOL. When that customer is in my chair, I always say, "What did you expect from a $5 haircut?" For $5 dollars, that barber can't afford to invest more than 10-15 minutes on your haircut and that's why he traded quality for quantity. In fact, I remember seeing one of these barbers at a gas station one day where he said, "Abe, we do $5 haircuts on Tuesdays." I replied, "Wow, $5, how do you make a living from that?" He said, "I just cut them fast. By the time you finish pumping your gas, I would already have finished them." LOL This is why I am a believer in putting quality over quantity. In my chair, every dollar you pay is worth it because you will get the quality and time you deserve. I don't believe in rushing, I believe that when you leave my chair you will know that you've just gotten a quality haircut. I don't put emphasis on speed, though I will have you in and out of my chair in a reasonable amount of time. I put emphasis on giving you what you want to the best of my ability. To me, cutting hair is an art form and I always strive to give you the best. Today, most shops make you wait one hour or more just to get you into the chair for a 10-15 minute haircut. I work by appointment only and the most you will ever wait for me is 10 minutes -- that is the type of quality service you can expect when you come see me.
