When surrounded by blonde hair, grays appear light blonde!

Low maintenence vs high maintenance blonding
*
A full highlight to the root will make you bright and blonde, but will create more maintenance if you are naturally dark.
*
If you are unable to have highlight apts every 6 weeks, then maybe consider a rootier, bronde.
*
This will give you dimension and brightness but will allow your dark regrowth to blend, so you can spread out your appointments more.

Gracie needed a little less maintenence in her life so we...

1. pulled some of her root color down through the blonde to breakup the harsh line or regrowth

2. brought subtle, fine highlights up near the root to someften her dark regrowth

3. toned all the blonde down, keeping her front money peice a little brighter.

Best of both worlds!! Blonde but not chasing those roots 😁

This beautiful girl came in for a prom upstyle and gave me ALL the feels

She brought an accessory that had been worn by her grandmother to her prom (with her grandpa! The picture was SO precious)

Of course, I said we could include it in the look.

As I'm prepping, curling, and braiding, she tells me more.
*
This clip meant a lot to her, as her grandmother had recently passed.
*
This look helped her feel close to her grandmother, and I felt so fortunate to have been a part of her special night.

Sidenote: Her dress was from her cousin, and she was wearing a necklace that had been her other grandmother's.
I felt so much respect for this young woman. She wanted her family to be apart of her night and I admire her sentimentality. An old soul ❤️
