One product I've been recommending a lot lately is the Le Mieux Just Glow BB Cream.
Summer is often the season when people want lighter coverage and a simpler routine, and this product does both beautifully. It helps even out the complexion while giving the skin a healthy, radiant finish that looks natural.
It's a great option for days when you want a little extra polish without reaching for a full foundation, and it layers easily into a streamlined morning routine.
If you're looking for an easy way to achieve that fresh summer glow, stop by the studio or find this product on the Nova online shop. ☀️

I'm always grateful when clients share their experiences.
One of the things I value most about this work is helping people move from feeling frustrated or overwhelmed by their skin to feeling informed, confident, and supported.
Thank you to every client who trusts me to be part of that process. 💛

There are plenty of skincare ingredients that get a lot of attention online, but one of my favorites for summer is Panthenol, also known as Vitamin B5.
Panthenol helps attract and retain moisture while supporting the skin barrier, making it especially helpful when skin is exposed to sun, heat, travel, and air conditioning.
It's soothing, hydrating, and works well for many skin types, including sensitive skin.
It’s in several products I have at Nova, including Kizo Lab’s Liquid Hydration
Moisturizer + Serum and the Le Mieux Vita-C Serum.
Come by and let’s talk about how to incorporate this powerful ingredient into your routine!

People often expect the first sign of progress to be a dramatic change in their skin. The earliest improvements are usually more subtle!
Clients often tell me their skin feels calmer, less reactive, and easier to manage.
Makeup sits better. Breakouts become less frequent. Their skin simply feels more predictable.
These small changes are important because they're often signs that the skin barrier is healthier and functioning the way it should.
Remember: The most meaningful results tend to come from consistency!

After more than 20 years of helping clients care for their skin, I've learned that summer skincare is often simpler than people expect.
Many people assume they need more products, stronger treatments, or a completely different routine once the weather changes. In reality, the clients who tend to have the healthiest skin are usually the ones who stay consistent with the basics.
They protect their skin from the sun. They support their skin barrier. They pay attention to hydration. And they make small adjustments when needed instead of constantly starting over.
Healthy skin isn't about perfection. It's about building habits that support your skin over time.
That's still the advice I come back to every summer, and it works!

Many people assume that midday shine automatically means they have oily skin.
In reality, there are several possible causes.
Sometimes the skin is producing excess oil. Other times, dehydration can trigger the skin to compensate by producing more oil. In some cases, an impaired skin barrier may also contribute to imbalance throughout the day.
The important thing is understanding the cause before trying to treat it.
What works for oily skin may not work for dehydrated skin, and vice versa.
One of the biggest parts of my job is helping clients understand what their skin is actually communicating so we can choose the right solution.

Do facial treatments actually help with breakouts?
The answer is yes, but probably not in the way most people think.
Professional treatments can help reduce congestion, calm inflammation, support the skin barrier, and keep pores clear. They're especially helpful when heat, sweat, sunscreen, and seasonal changes start affecting the skin.
But they’re not a quick fix. It takes time for your treatments to change your skin, and continued support at home.
The most effective approach is always a combination of professional care and a consistent home routine.
If you’re ready to get started on your skin transformation this summer, give me a call.

June is a natural time for a skin check-in.
Many people assume that once they've found a routine, it should work forever. In reality, skin is constantly changing. Weather, travel, stress, hormones, lifestyle, and age all influence what your skin needs throughout the year.
If your skin feels different than it did a few months ago, that's completely normal.
This is often the perfect time to evaluate whether your products, treatments, and routine are still supporting your goals. Sometimes small adjustments are all that's needed to help your skin stay balanced and healthy through the rest of the year.
If you're unsure where to start, I'd be happy to help you assess what's working, and what may need a refresh.

People often ask what products I reach for most during the summer.
My beach bag is pretty simple:
• A broad spectrum sunscreen
• A hydrating face mist
• Sunglasses
• A wide-brim hat
• Plenty of water
After more than 20 years in skincare, I've learned that consistency matters far more than having a complicated routine.
The basics really do work.
What are your summer essentials?

Should you switch moisturizers for summer?
The answer depends on your skin.
Warmer temperatures, increased humidity, more time outdoors, and travel can all change how your skin behaves. Some people benefit from moving to a lighter moisturizer, while others still need richer hydration to maintain a healthy barrier.
The key is paying attention to how your skin feels. If it’s been feeling oily, congested, tight, or uncomfortable, it may be time for a few adjustments. The right moisturizer should support your skin without feeling heavy or overwhelming.
Not sure what your skin needs right now? I'd be happy to help.
