Over 20yrs in the beauty industry. Cosmetology license in Michigan since 1993, Cosmetology license in Virginia in 2011 & received Instructor's license 2014
I have been active in the salon industry for 24 yrs. Cosmetology has always been my passion. From family hair care to a complete make over, I can do it all. Want that look and don't know how to create it? I believe in taking time with my clients and helping them achieve the look they are trying to get. If not then I can recommend the best treatment or services that best suits their hair care needs.
Operating as usual
Now offering this hair treatment. It's only around a 15 min to 20 min process and it can last up to a few wks. Definitely worth adding it after your service if you have damaged hair. I have fine thin hair and it doesn't weigh it down at all.
Just got a new nail table! Still working on gel polish and the dip system. Hoping to add them to the services I offer once I master them. Who would be interested in them?
Just got this sample bag to try out acrylic dipping powder. Have no idea if I will like it or if it's even worth it. If it turns out it will be another service I can offer.
Learning to do cat eye nails. My first attempt turned out pretty well.
Added a few extras! Also working on being able to offer gel polish. Right now testing some different brands.
After a lot of thinking and doing research, I have decided to switch color lines. I have been using Paul Mitchell for yrs but recently they have changed things and it's harder to get the color (can't just order it) and when I do go to get it, I am lucky if it has the color I need in stock. So I am going back to a different color line I used yrs ago and always loved the results, PRAVANA! Just ordered their color swatch book :-)
I got the privilege to cut this hair and it will be donated!
It's official! We got the shampoo bowl up and running!
Not hooked up yet but we are getting closer!
It's slowly getting there
Just to let everyone know I still will be working at my full time job. This is just something I will be doing on the side. That way I can still be in the salon industry on my own terms. My availability will be very limited.
Haven't updated in awhile. My salon room is turning out great! It's still a work in process but it's actually looking like a salon! Anyone want to see a few sneak peaks? Hoping by fall it will be fully ready.
Big things are coming! As long as everything goes smoothly in a couple months or so I will have my own salon room in our new house. That means no more bending over the sink and sitting in uncomfortable chairs! My availability will still be limited due to my full time job but I will be more organized and have more room!
With the current situation I am unable to do any services till maybe July. Working overtime at my current job to catch up from being shut down for 2 and half months.

New year new cut!
Before and Afters
Hello everyone! I just want to start out by saying I appreciate everyone's loyalty and support all these years. I have always loved learning new techniques and expanding my knowledge in the beauty industry. I have recently decided to put my focus more on my other passion, working with animals, so my availability for hair care needs will be limited. I will make sure I work in my regular clients ( I would NEVER leave you hanging) but can not guarantee I am able to fit anyone else in. I have received a great opportunity to be able to work with animals while getting educated too. I am very excited about this new development, I will still keep updated on the latest styles and trends so feel free to still contact me if you need anything!
Sometimes you just need just a few foils to "brighten" your day

Here is a beautiful color I did 3yrs ago in Virginia Beach. She wanted a vibrant red. The color was breath taking!
Great demonstration by @mamiller813!
@makeupbyfrances gets asked how long will hair color last by her clients. She always suggests using cold water to make color last and she recommends using dry shampoo like Wella Dry Shampoo!
After hours of getting her hair ready the results are a beautiful purple to blue two toned ombre. Proves it takes time and patience to create beautiful hair.
Here are all kinds of different color ideas
Sadly, I have decided it would be in my best interest not to work at the salon I have been at any longer. I still plan on staying in the beauty industry but only doing hair by appointment only. Feel free to contact me through messenger or by text, thanks!
Before pics of a color job done at home and after pics of color I corrected. Never try this technique at home. Let a trained professional do your hair. Saves your hair in the long run.
