I had a new client from "Maryland" who came in yesterday to get her brows done. From the moment I met her things seemed a little off, however I know clients are usually nervous for these appointments and I tried giving her the benefit of the doubt.

To make a very long story short, she left without paying for the service she received and I have a feeling she was never planning on paying for her brows to begin with.

I called my husband and told him that I needed him to come in towards the end of her appointment knowing I'd need assistance and I'm so thankful he came! We called the cops two different times and unfortunately there was nothing they could do for us and we just had to let her walk.

Her email wasn't valid, her phone number was inconsistent and had an Alaskan area code, her plates were Washington, her driver's license was Georgia, and she told me she was in Ohio because she was ‘going to Six Flags,’ despite there currently being no Ohio amusement park operating under the Six Flags name. 🤨

I also had another client directly after this that was waiting so patiently but I had to send her home and my day ended up being a complete wash.

It's disheartening as a small business owner but lessons were learned and it is what it is.

Thankfully, the entire interaction was captured on our studio security cameras.

I’m sharing this so other local service providers can use caution and protect their businesses.

The whole team was out at different events all weekend and I love that! I love that it gives a chance to meet new people and for anyone at the studio to grow in their business 🌱

One thing I want to just remind everyone is that as much "fun" it is to have anyone in this industry at your events, there are still rules and regulations in place by the state that have to be followed.

These services are subject to state and local regulations, and the location may need approval before services can be performed. Protecting clients through proper sanitation and compliance should always come first and, then of course helping ensure a good turnout shows respect for the artists time and helps make the event worthwhile for everyone involved. 🤗

Again, I love, just as much as anyone else, the opportunity to get out there and support a birthday party, wedding, grand opening, etc but making sure everyone is safe in a fully insured and licensed space should be your main priority 🙏🏼

She had her brows done 8 years ago by another artist. Techniques have changed so much since then; pigments, machines, cartridges, everything has evolved to be it's best it's ever been 🙌🏼

We added an arch and really focused on creating something that will heal soft and natural that will age nicely over the next 8+ years ❤️


I've had a lot of clients coming in with work done elsewhere and they say how painful the service was and every single time they're pleasantly surprised it doesn't hurt when I do them.

With that being said everyone has a different pain threshold, however, this technique should not be as painful as I've heard so please do not fear getting this done 🫶🏼 all of my clients either doze off or don't mind the feeling whatsoever!
