If you’ve been in my chair the last few months we’ve definitely already talked about it, but if you haven’t then let’s get deep. SO many of us have been in a really weird spot emotionally, financially, and mentally. Just from talking to clients I’ve realized that I think we’re all in this collective down season right now, and I’m definitely one of them as well. I just haven’t felt very motivated, or driven in my job and it’s been for so many reasons. But I’m here to also remind you that it’s okay to take a step back and to allow yourself a break. I’m so thankful for all of my clients who have been kind and supportive and continue to fit me into your budget in whatever way you can. I’m so thankful for all of you who take an extra step to make me feel seen and like a friend when you sit in my chair. And thank you for not forgetting about me even when I’m not very active in my job lol 💗

For those of you I haven’t gotten back to, thank you for your patience, and I’ll be getting back to all of you shortly!

Another note though: Come January, I’m going back to school!!!!! My schedule will have some changes and it may take some time to get used to my changing school schedule, but I’ll continue to keep you all updated as that time comes and feel free to reach out with any questions/comments/concerns! ⭐️

step 1 of a VERY LONG (pun intended) blonding process for her wedding 🤍

This process took us SIX HOURS. It was exhausting and brutal, but with hair this long and thick, I think we made magic happen!

Step 1 of color correction:
Our goals are to get this to be lower maintenance, soft and blended, balance porosity throughout the hair, and minimize future breakage.
We went in with a very soft lowlight to break up some banding throughout the top, and deepen some of the over processed nearly white hair, and then went in with a darker root to disguise the band & outgrown roots.
There’s still MUCH MORE of a process to go, but I think we’re loving step 1🤍

Pastels are their own type of beast, but I had SO much fun doing this one! From 100% virgin hair, to ALL OVER platinum card + pastel purple. I feel very spoiled being given the canvas I had to work with for this one🥰

I have been literally the WORSTTTTT at posting any of my work recently, so here’s some from a while ago! 🥰

Why have I been horrible at posting photos? Well, I just can NOT figure out how/where to get good pics in the new salon! I haven’t been able to find any low traffic areas with good lighting and a plain background to get a clean photo. I know it doesn’t matter much to yall, but I take aesthetics wayyy too seriously 🤣
Anyways, if yall have any ideas for photo-ops, or want to hang out for a few extra minutes after your appointment to be a little model I would LOVE THAT! Just let me know! ⭐️

As of this afternoon, we are now licensed and approved to fully open and operate!!

I know all of this happened very fast and suddenly, but I hope you all will forgive the chaos and join me in my new space. I know the adjustment will take time, and there will be some quirks here and there for us to get used to, but I can already say it will be so well worth it! This space is so open, comfortable, and exciting and I absolutely can not wait to get my hands back in your hair!

If you’ve had an appointment the last few weeks, or kept an eye on my story posts, you’ve probably heard that I’m moving!!
To keep things short and sweet, here’s what you need to know:

-if you have an appointment past 6/15 then your appointment will be in the NEW SUITE! The transition from the current studio to the new one is happening all NEXT WEEK! This weekend is my very last appointments in the current studio!!

-the new address is 10150 Dorchester rd suite 229 in Summerville! Or put Sola Salon Studios onto your GPS!

- MY SUITE NUMBER IS 32! When you enter the building, turn to your left and my room is directly in front of you. I am the second door, or the corner room, you can not miss it!

- IMPORTANT: the front door to this location stays locked! Go to the keypad, find my name, and press the call button. This will send my phone a call and I can unlock it for you from my room. (But worst case if you can’t figure it out, come tap on my window and I’ll run to the door to grab you 😚)

if you’re a blonde and ever want to try switching things up in a fun way, DO A PASTEL PINK GLOSS!!! 💗😍
Why? I’ll tell you:
1. It looks COOL duh
2. It fades very quickly, and the pink tone is virtually gone after a couple washes/weeks
3. It fades right back into a regular blonde and does not leave any weird undertones or get “stuck” in the hair
4. It can give you the feeling of CHANGE and refreshment without actually undoing all of the work we’ve put into your blonde!
