Can't have both.

Saw this post and thought, “Fake news”…
I went down the rabbit hole and… nope. It’s true.
If you’re reading this and thinking “this is me,” you owe it to yourself—and your family—to make a lifestyle change.
The good news? You’re not stuck.
You don’t need a gym membership, a 30-day challenge, or some magic pill. You need a decision. A step. Then another.
Start walking.
Lift something heavy.
Eat food that fuels instead of numbs.
Go to bed on time.
Drink water.
Pray.
You were made for more than survival.
This isn’t about six-packs or selfies—it’s about strength, energy, presence, and legacy.
You don’t have to be average, all you have to do
is start.
• “Gains 10–15 pounds every 5 years”
✔️ True for many adults.
According to CDC data, average adult weight increases gradually with age due to lower activity levels and metabolic changes.
• “Can’t do a single pull-up”
✔️ Generally accurate.
Most adults, especially those who don’t exercise, struggle with upper-body strength. A pull-up is a high bar of fitness for many.
• “Stares at screens for 5+ hours a day”
✔️ Conservative estimate.
Studies suggest the average U.S. adult spends 7+ hours daily on screens (phones, computers, TV).
• “Eats more sugar than protein”
✔️ Often true.
Many Western diets are heavy in sugar and refined carbs and low in protein, especially among sedentary adults.
• “Walks less than 5,000 steps per day”
✔️ Supported.
The average American walks about 3,000–5,000 steps per day, considered “sedentary” by health standards.
• “Hits snooze 3 times before getting up”
✔️ Anecdotally true.
Many people hit snooze repeatedly. It’s common enough to be a cultural cliché.
• “Piles on meds for lifestyle diseases”
✔️ Supported by trends.
Many common medications (for Type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, etc.) are prescribed for preventable conditions tied to diet and inactivity.
• “Gets winded walking up stairs”
✔️ Common in sedentary adults.
Poor cardiovascular fitness is widespread
