Recently I had the chance to spend two amazing weeks in Thailand learning traditional Thai Massage, and it was an experience I’ll never forget.

I fell in love with the culture, the people, the food, the spirituality, and the adventure. We explored waterfalls, met elephants, rode motorcycles through the countryside, wandered night markets, got massages every day, and learned from incredible teachers.

It’s amazing where this profession has taken me over the years, and this trip reminded me why I love massage so much.

I’m already ready to go back. Until then… enjoy a few of my favorite memories.

11 years… Wow.

It’s hard to believe that 11 years ago I opened the doors to Hipbone Massage. This week I renewed my South Carolina Massage Therapy license for another two years, and it made me stop and reflect on just how quickly time has flown.

Massage has never been “just a job” to me. I love the anatomy. I love the medical and therapeutic side of helping the body heal. I love watching someone walk in carrying stress, pain, or tension… and leave standing a little taller with that “Aha… I forgot what it feels like to move without hurting” moment.

There is something incredibly rewarding about knowing you were able to brighten someone’s day and give them a little relief from whatever life has been throwing at them.

So thank you.

Thank you to everyone who has trusted me over these last 11 years. Whether you’ve seen me once or have been with me since the beginning, I truly appreciate every one of you.

Now… if you’ll excuse me, I should probably straighten up this wall of certificates and licenses. 😂 Every one of them tells part of the journey, but they’re starting to look like organized chaos.
