Q: Why are you naturally based and not all natural? A: Naturally based is the most cost effective way to give you great skin! We use ingredients as close to the source as possible, blended with safe and effective preservatives. Q: What are parabens and paraffins? A: Parabens are preserving chemicals used in most skin care products. They’ve been linked to cancerous cells. You can think of paraffins as the waste product of petroleum. Natural Paraffins are not safe, but in order to be used, they have to be bleached and processed, making them even more dangerous. Q: What are fillers? A: Think of fillers as the cosmetic equivalent to candy. It may fill you up, but it provides no nutritional benefits. It’s a cheap way for companies to make products bigger or textured. Sulfates are compounds that foam when mixed with water. For some reason, we associate foam with cleanliness so companies use sulfates to give that high foam sensation. Sulfates have been researched and deemed safe if used as they are intended but can cause irritation and inflammation for more sensitive skin types. Q: What are Sustainable Certified oils?! A: What that means is, the oil was grown on a plantation managed and certified by the RSPO (don't worry, they're the good guys). The plantation was built on land that did not contain significant biodiversity, wildlife habitat, and meets the highest environmental, social and economic standards.
