What happened to the coping mechanisms we practiced lol ?!? It’s all good, therapy is always a work in progress. The good part is that you can always pick back up where you left off.
Baby we have a TIME in my sessions. Yes mental health is serious, but life is too serious to be serious all of the time. I try to arrive as my authentic self, and depending on the topic, a laugh is always in session. Are you looking or are you booking lol
As I wrap up my first year as an Assistant Professor, my favorite part was impacting my students the way I did. From playing music as they entered, to applying what they learned to real-world situations, and helping them prepare for their NCE exam, it was so rewarding. So is meeting with LPCAs weekly to help them become fully licensed. This profession is so much bigger than me and I’m glad I get to share the wealth. I’m still accepting LPCAs btw.

Heel’d Wellness Center, led by Dr. Kierra Oliver, is more than a private practice. It’s a space dedicated to healing, growth, and transformation. Dr. Oliver is deeply passionate about helping individuals build resilience, gain understanding, and develop real tools that allow them to move forward with strength and confidence.
Her journey started in college, where she created a movement centered around healing through adversity, and that same purpose lives on through her practice today. She has experience supporting clients through life transitions, anxiety, depression, self esteem challenges, trauma, and relationship struggles.
What I love most is her heart behind the work. She meets people in their most vulnerable moments and helps guide them toward wholeness. She is truly helping break barriers and remove the stigma surrounding mental health in our community.
