Pierce County approved to enter Phase 2 of Washington’s Safe Start Recovery Plan TACOMA, WASH.—Pierce County residents will soon have relaxed restrictions on businesses and other areas of public life. On Friday, June 5, the state secretary of health approved the county to move to Phase 2 of the state’s Safe Start Recovery Plan. 

We are still closed, but keeping fingers crossed that the application for Phase 2 will get approved, soon.

PHASE 2 APPLICATION UPDATE: We received new requirements from the state and are still working on our application. When it's complete, Pierce County Executive Bruce Dammeier will submit it to the state. Washington Secretary of Health John Wiesman will then review it and decide whether we qualify to move to Phase 2. We are working hard on this and hope to complete it soon. In the meantime, Pierce County remains in Phase 1.
