Leah Owens knows facials, skin, and how to make you shine. I was so impressed with my facial that included derma-planing. It was relaxing, blissful, and I left glowing, if I do say so. The real proof was that my skin looked good a week later when I ran into someone who asked what I was using on my skin. I hadn’t used anything new. The only thing different was the facial. I was driving along I-77 today when the car in front of me basically went under an 18 wheeler and then hydroplaned into the guard rail. I went right when she went left so I escaped the collision. I got out of my car to see this beautiful girl running around on the interstate picking up pieces of her car and I said to her “you can’t be out here like this” she said no English. I had been listening to Matthew McConaughey’s book Greenlight and he had just finished his quote on equality (in pics) and I knew I had to help this poor girl. She spoke no English and had no one to help her so we sat in my car for 2 hours and passed the phone back and forth in a translate app to communicate. She’s here to teach kids ages 4-12 Soccer and to learn English because it’s too expensive in Brazil for her to take classes. She plans to send money home to her family with her new job but now she’s going to have to save it for a car. She had just spent her entire savings $4,000 on buying a car to get from Maine to Florida for her new job and she didn’t know the laws here so she had no insurance. The car is totaled 😢I took her to a hotel and got her some dinner. I had her lined up to take a Greyhound to Florida tomorrow but luckily a friend in
Florida knew someone she could catch a ride with tomorrow. We both cried and hugged each other tightly when I left. We’ve been communicating via whatsup app since then and she’s so grateful but I honestly feel like I’m the lucky one because I saw Gods work in so many ways. I want to help her get back on her feet and raise enough money for her to get another car. I am starting a Gofundme for her. This was definitely a Greenlight for me!
