My heart is heavy tonight, and I learned a lesson the hard way. I had a special client, friend, mentor (as you all have been to me) pass away. She had to miss our last appointment together due to illness but asked that I call her back, she would like to see me one more time before I leave...and I allowed the loud, chaotic, overwhelming life of moving across country— move faster than my intentions. I thought about it so many times...

So now I sit here with regret, thinking about someone who trusted me with more than skin and nailcare appointments over the years. Clients become part of our lives, our routines, our stories.

This your reminder to tell people you love them. Call them back. MAKE THE TIME. Say the thing. Hug them a little longer. We convince ourselves there will always be another day, another conversation, another chance. But reality reminds there isn’t always.

To my dear friend, and all of you, thank you for letting me be a small part of yours. 💛

This has been Moiras favorite spot the last few days. She would lay behind the pedicure chair alot the last few weeks of the business, I think it settled her. She loves it here in Charleston, you should see how excited she gets when we get near the 'big water,' but I know that she is missing her people as much as I do! Can we also talk about her derpiness 🤣😅

The last 2 days here have been a mental struggle in many ways. But maybe this beach life of mine is exactly that… learning that two things can be true at once.
I can be terrified of the unknown and still deeply grateful for the present.
Heartbroken over what I left behind, yet hopeful for what’s ahead.
Missing my old life while slowly allowing myselfnto fall in love with this new one.
Somehow the ocean makes room for all of it.” 🌊✨

Driving from IA to dedicate her love, time, energy, and pure hard work into helping me through this move, is something I will never be able to fully repay.

From the emotional moments to the dirty tasks that I couldn't or preferred not to do (like cleaning out the nasty Budget truck cab), she’s been right there through it all—steady, strong, putting her own feelings aside to support me, and full of love. I quite literally could not have done this without her.

Taking the signs down.

Not just from the building… but from a chapter of my life that held more than anyone could see.

There’s a quiet kind of heartbreak in letting go of something you once gave everything to.

But there’s also strength in knowing when it’s time.
I’m leaving with memories, lessons, and a heart that’s a little softer… and a little stronger.

Moving forward, even when it seems impossible.

And The Charleston Angels are off!!

Not everything came with me—and not everything was meant to.

Some goodbyes felt gentle… some feel heavier than I can deal with at once.

Some relationships will change. Some ended. Some showed me exactly what they were meant to be.

This chapter closed with more emotion than I can even put into words—but also with so much gratitude for everything that built me into who I am right now.
And just like that… a new beginning begins.

So here I am—heart full, heart heavy… still choosing to go.
