It’s been a few months since I announced we were opening, and the truth is I have been busy. NONSTOP. And everyone keeps asking how did you do this so fast?

So here’s the honest answer.

One, I grew up in this. Construction and carpentry run on both sides of my family, so a lot of what you see here I either knew how to do myself or had family who could. I wasn’t sitting around waiting on contractors, and that changed everything.

But the bigger answer is preparation. I’ve been getting ready for a salon of my own for years, even when I had no clue when it would happen. My waiting season was probably the most important part of my journey because it prepared me for this exact moment. The work I put into myself, the healing, the therapy, getting honest about my own capacity, is the reason I could walk through all of this without drowning in it. Were there stressful moments? Absolutely. But I learned to listen to my body, stay in tune with God, and follow what actually resonated with me instead of every outside opinion. I kept telling myself it’s just for the moment, just for now. And that carried me through.

And I can’t post this without thanking my mama. Lord what would we do without mothers??? She has shown up for me in ways I can’t even put into words. One thing I can say is moms always find a way. None of this would have been possible without her coming to help me 🫶🏾❤️💕

I have been doing this service for a while now, and the results never get old.

My guest came in with a type 4 center and type 3 perimeter. Two completely different textures trying to coexist.

Two different patterns, one head of hair. I used the amino acid treatment (Hair B) from in a specific sequence to bring them into alignment and she left with one unified curl pattern.

The week I got the keys to my salon… I stumbled across this video from 2016.

And as a woman of faith, I don’t believe in coincidences. I believe in divine timing and divine reminders.

This felt like both.

A reminder of how far I’ve come…
and a reminder that the message was always bigger than me.

If you want God to show up for you, you have to be willing to show up for yourself first.

Take the step. Even when you’re scared. Even when it doesn’t make sense. Even when nothing around you reflects what you see in your spirit.

God will meet you there.

But just because God shows up doesn’t mean it’s going to be easy. You’re going to be stretched. You’re going to be tested.

You just have to trust…
if God brought you to it, God will bring you through it.

God is not placing these ideas in your head for no reason. If you see it, it’s because you’re meant to have it! But there’s preparation work that’s required before you can receive…. Question is are you going to step up and answer the calling?
