Soap Gems

I was fooling around with melt and pour. This one is scented in rose. I made these for personal use. I'll be making more soon.

I have two gallon zip locks filled with used fragrance oil that I am going to get rid of. If anyone is interested in taking these fragrances for free, please contact me and I'll meet you in the Sunrise area in Florida.

Here's my newest soap, olive and coconut oil with kaolin clay. This one is scented in pink grapefruit. It's moving so fast, I'm not going to be able to post on Etsy.

So, the good, the bad, and the ugly of this last soap batch. I really like the lather and it feels great on my skin. It's firming up nicely. I'll know in a couple of weeks if I need to tweak the recipe for a harder bar. The superfat was 100% cocoa butter, so it feels great, but you can smell the cocoa butter. Love Spell didn't mix nicely against the smell of the cocoa butter. I think in the future I'll use vanilla, chocolate, or any warm fragrance with this recipe. This batch, I used a purple mica. I'm not liking the look. Next time, I'll use unsweetened cocoa powder to color it brown and maybe brown oxide.
All in all, I really like it. We'll know more in a couple of weeks.

These are the finished product. They're scented in Love Spell. You can smell the cocoa butter too. They need to cool.

It's been a long time since I posted. I'm making hot processed soap and trying out a new recipe. It has coconut oil, olive oil, and cocoa butter with a high superfat.

First day of senior year

The almond scented olive oil, aloe and Greek yogurt soaps are fully cured and ready to sell. Local pickup only. $6 each or four for $20. There are only six left.

I hope this post finds everyone enjoying their start to a new year. I've had a handful of challenges lately, some good, some not so good, but I think it's time to make more soap!
This next batch will be olive oil soap made with aloe vera and Greek yogurt and scented in almond. I will be using the hot process method, and they will cure/dry out for about two weeks before they're ready to sell.
They will sell at $6 each or 4 bars for $20, first come, first serve, local pickup only.

I was able to make some new soaps. Honey glycerin with honey fragrance and calendula petals.

This bar of soap is made with extra virgin olive oil infused with calendula oil and petals using the hot processed method. I think I shouldn't have used the water discount, but all in all, the soap feels so good. A friend told me calendula oil helps your skin heal after radiation treatment.
