As February is approaching I want to remind everyone how important self care is. Yes Valentine’s Day is about love, but what about self love? When is the last time you poured back into your own cup?

Sometimes I think we feel selfish for booking that appointment, right? It feels like “but I could be using that money for X Y and Z” and it’s true, but sometimes I think we forget it’s okay to be selfish for a minute if it means we will feel better after. The saying “you can’t pour from an empty cup” is cliche but so true, and if booking that appointment pours back into your cup, you have more to give to those around you. Feeling like your best self makes a huge difference in how you show up in other parts of your life, and sometimes having pretty hair helps you feel like your best self 💁🏻‍♀️

In the month of February I am doing a raffle for a full size shampoo and conditioner! The rules are as usual, a cut is one entry, a color is two entries! I will also be offering a glass of bubbly to enjoy during your appointment! 🍾🥂 we like to keep it romantic around here 🤭

February is a special month because it is the month I got my license in 2014, which means I have been licensed for 12 years 🥹 and although I wasn’t behind the chair for all 12 years I’ve been licensed, it almost feels extra special because I chose to continue to renew my license even though I wasn’t sure I would ever find my way back to doing hair. My passion for this industry truly grows more everyday and I couldn’t be more grateful I found my way back to what I love most.

I have truly been the worst about getting back to texts. I’ve been beating myself up over it, but my personal life has truly been upside down and I have found it difficult to respond even when I do have down time, I feel guilty because I want my clients to feel like a priority and I feel I have been slacking in that department. I am grateful to have such understanding clients, but I will be trying harder to respond in a more timely manner 🖤

She hadn’t had her hair done since before her wedding in June 😱

In the new year I’m looking to change up my content and share more than just photos of my work! After a week off it felt good to get my hands on some hair today. I don’t typically work/ post on Sundays but I couldn’t wait to share!

In May it will be two years of being back behind the chair! I can’t believe that much time has already passed. The gratitude I have for each person who has sat in my chair over the last year and a half will never be able to be expressed fully.

In the next year I promise to continue to grow my skill set so I can continue to grow as a stylist and provide the best service possible for each guest.

At this point in time it is very unlikely to request an appointment and get on my books in the same month. I am typically booking at least a month-a month and a half out, so keep that in mind when reaching out for an appointment! I wanted to switch to fully online booking, but I think I am still just more comfortable with receiving text and setting up appointments for my guests. It just ensures enough time is booked off and the right service is being booked if it’s done directly by me!

My prices did increase as of the 1st of the month by $5! I have gotten a lot of feedback from clients letting me know they don’t feel that is enough, which is such a compliment, however, I pride myself on being able to be fit into my clients budgets 🫶🏻

My personal life has been really crazy recently, therefore my mental health hasn’t been the greatest, and I just like to keep it 💯 round here. Because of that, I have been absolutely terrible about responding to text messages 😞 If you have reached out either before the holiday or after and haven’t heard from me, I promise I will return your messages tomorrow! 🫶🏻

This client has been doing a level 1 blue black for as long as she’s been with me, she finally said heck it, let’s start going lighter. For a first time lift on black hair, this was a gorgeous result!

•Gingerbread•

My girl doesn’t get her hair done very often, so prior to this appointment we had done a subtle lived in bronde, but she was ready to change it up, but not do anything to drastic! She sent me some inspiration pictures and we found a happy medium!

I’ve loved playing around with my ring light to get some different pictures of my work!

•Tis the season•

Life has been CRAZY! December is always the absolute craziest month in the salon.
I’ve been so incredibly blessed with the best clients, and to show my appreciation, every client has walked out the door with a travel size shampoo and conditioner!

January is filling up FAST so please reach out ASAP for an appointment. I want to remind everyone that as of January first all of my prices will be increasing by $5. I strive to make getting your hair done affordable and easy to fit into your budget.

My girl had been loving a high contrast balayage for a few months, but she texted me and said “what about red?” And I said girrrrl I’m never gonna say no 🤭 look how rich and juicy this came out! Schwartzkopf Igora vibrance does it every. Single. Time. 🍫

I have picked the winner of my free color and cut from October and they have been notified! 🥰

November is almost full, and December appointments are filling up quickly as well! If you are wanting in before the holidays, text me ASAP!

Starting in January I will be switching to strictly online booking, so you won’t have to worry about waiting on a response from me for days on end (I’m sorry okay) 🥹

I will also be adjusting my prices beginning in January, as my skill set has improved and the cost of product only continues to go up unfortunately 🥺 however it will not be by a lot, because I still want my girls to be able to afford to feel pretty in this ugly economy 😤

For both October and November I am giving away a free cut and color service valued at $110! I will announce the winner of Octobers cut and color on Friday the 31st! In December I always place travel products under a tree and the first 15 clients to see my in December get to pick a gift! This year I will also be doing something really fun! •Hot embers•

This client is always pushing me to prove to myself how capable I am with vivid color, and I love her for it. As a stylist, there are things you feel confident in, because you do them most regularly, you get comfortable in them, and then there are things you rarely do because they feel scary, because you don’t have the repetition of doing them, very relatable to life. Sometimes, it just takes someone telling you “I trust you, let’s go for it” and the outcome is beautiful 🥹

Life has changed A LOT for me the last couple of months, I have received things I never thought I’d have, my living situation changed quickly, I’ve had to make choices that affect my life, but I’m embracing it all.

That being said, my schedule is changing, I have been working 6 days a week since February when I found out my dog had diabetes and required insulin twice a day, we have adjusted well, and I now have someone in my life who’s time I value more than being at work 6 days a week, and that’s just me being truthful 🥹 I will now be offering ONE Saturday a month for those who absolutely cannot come in during the week due to their schedules.

I will be taking the last week of October off because I am moving, again 😅 I do have random availability the second to last week of October, but I am booking into November and December, which is crazy! So I HIGHLY recommend scheduling your next appointment in advance.

As always, I am beyond grateful to have a job where I can adjust my schedule to fit my life as it changes, and to have amazing clients who roll with the punches 👊🏻

•Blonde to Bronde•

Fall is in the air, and it’s also in the hair 🤭 tis the season to go darker! My girl has been blonde forever, and decided it was time for a change. This isn’t a huge change, but just enough to scratch that itch! It also won’t be too hard to get her lighter when the warmer season comes back around!

I know I have been extremely absent on my business page, but lucky for me, my clients are all supportive and understanding of the changes I’ve had in my life lately! 🥹🫶🏻

With that said, I failed to pick a winner for my giveaway last month 🥺 so I will be doing a double give away next week. I will be choosing two winners and giving away two different products!

I will be making a slight schedule change starting next month! I would also like to let my clients know, that if you aren’t rebooking at the time of your service, I am booking out about two months, so if you are needing an appointment it’s important to message me asap and understand that it may be a while before I can get you in! I am so grateful to be busy and have the clients that I do 💕

Had so much fun with this one. My girl is always down for anything and I love it. She had previously had a platinum halo, and she pulled a wild card on me and said “red” I said “red???” She said “RED” and I delivered 😌 having so much fun dabbling in vivid color.
