well we made it to 2025 and I do believe it is going to be a FANTABULOUS year!!!! Asking for prayers. I am getting an online prayer circle going. My love to everyone who reads this. Let's pray for each other today because prayers are needed right now. If I don't see your name, I'll understand. I ask my family and friends wherever you might be, to kindly post this status for one hour, to whisper a prayer for all of those who have family problems, health struggles, job issues, or worries of any kind and just need to know that someone cares. Do it for all of us, for nobody is immune. I hope to see this on the walls of my family and friends just for moral support. I did it for someone else, and you can, too ! ♥️

My dad was one of those parents who spent a great deal of my childhood being hard and critical of me while praising me to others. In my much younger days I thought he didn’t like me at all. Then I grew and became resentful because so many people would tell me how much he gushed about me. I’d always ask him, “Why do you speak so well of me when I’m not around? Why wouldn’t you want to tell me all of these sweet things you tell others?” He would say “I’m a hard man. I make no apologies.” As he matured, he changed. One of our last moments together, he hugged me and told me he was proud of me. I felt like I was 8 years old again. I understand him so much more now that I’m almost his last earthly age. I can look back and see things I never saw before. Looking at this picture of us, all I see is love and pride. He was so proud of me that night and I never knew it. I’m glad I know it now. Proud of you too Daddy!

A Final Rose From The Captain

Captain Russ Wayant of American Airlines wrapped up a beloved Mother’s Day tradition this Sunday. For 12 years, he had handed out over 4,000 red roses to female passengers traveling on the holiday.

This year, passengers on his flight from Chicago O’Hare to LaGuardia Airport received the final roses of his career as Wayant is retiring this year. “It was a joy to do it, passengers loved it,” he said.

The tradition started spontaneously but became a cherished annual event, with preparations beginning a month in advance. This heartfelt gesture made Mother’s Day flights unforgettable, filling the cabin with hundreds of roses.
