A short, high-intensity competition set in the heart of St. Louis' Soulard Mardi Gras celebration. 5-6 strength and fitness-based events typically around 5 minutes in duration.
The competition takes place from 8AM - 1PM with the party going on until 4PM-ish. As an athlete or spectator, you can enjoy the Mardi Gras parade between events with food and beer included in your ticket price.
This is a partner competition. 3 divisions are available: Scaled, Intermediate and Rx.
Recommendations are simple. If you typically do not Rx your gym WOD, choose "Scaled". If you mostly Rx the gym WOD, except when the weight is very heavy and high-skill choose "Intermediate". If you always Rx your gym's WOD and sometimes choose the Rx+ option when available, choose Rx.

Todays class consisted of some Kipping Pull up do’s & don’ts, with a chance to practice technique at different stages of individuals fitness levels.
Then we took on a fun Benchmark “Lynne” with some max reps on a bench press and max reps on a pull up bar!
Fun change of pace and a lot of good learning.

Strength & Conditioning everyday.
We use our “strength” segment of our group classes to get better at moving. Initially it’s lighter weights working technique and then when you’re comfortable with the movement we’re working on that day you start challenging yourself with more resistance each time! Some times people are comfortable day one some still choose to work technique years into training. Both are fine because there’s multiple benefits to the movements we choose, not just strength….. coordination, balance, mobility, stability….

- it can be intimidating at first but our coaches do a great job breaking it down step by step and making sure each athlete is working at their appropriate level with ALL movements.
Sn**ch is a movement that improves full body coordination, shoulder stability/strength/mobility, core strength, leg mobility/stability/strength, and so much more. Even if you aren’t able to throw around “impressive” weight your body thanks you for using the exercise to make it more functional!
