I know it’s still August, but apparently my kitchen has decided it’s fall. 🎃🍂

I made homemade pumpkin spice syrup for my coffee, and my house smells AMAZING. It’s creamy, cozy, naturally sweetened, and dangerously easy to add to absolutely everything.

☕ Homemade Pumpkin Spice Syrup

🎃 1 cup pumpkin purée
💧 1 cup water
🍁 ⅔ cup maple syrup
🤎 2 tablespoons sugar
✨ 1 tablespoon pumpkin pie spice
🌼 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
🧂 A big pinch of salt

Toast the pumpkin and pumpkin pie spice in a small saucepan over medium heat for about one minute. Add everything else, whisk until smooth, and simmer for a few minutes until slightly thickened.

Let it cool, pour it into a jar, and refrigerate. Shake or stir before using—it makes about two cups and should last all week!

Add it to coffee, lattes, oatmeal—or whatever else needs a little fall magic. 🍁

Yes, I am starting pumpkin spice season early. No, I will not be taking questions. 😂

Recipe adapted from Bakerita.
