Wildflower Salon in Sycamore

To our clients and supporters:

😞 I have made the difficult decision to close Wildflower Salon.

The path leading up to this decision was a complicated journey. Some of you are aware that I’ve had health issues over the past couple years and haven’t been behind the chair working on clients. During this time trying to keep up with everything at home, being present for my family, taking care of myself and maintaining the salon all at once has become difficult. We considered other options that would allow us to continue on with the success we’ve seen during the past seven and a half years. However, after weighing the trade-offs and knowing the delicate balance of success and sacrifice, we ultimately decided there was no other way to move forward.

Courtney will be moving to a private suite at Sycamore Salon Suites located in downtown Sycamore. And….. I’m happy to announce 🥰 her new business is named Wildflower Salon Suite! Courtney recently created her new business account on Facebook reflecting her new business’s name. Therefore, moving forward she will be using that page. This page, Wildflower Salon in Sycamore, will be deactivated in the near future. Courtney has already contacted most of her clients but, if you haven’t heard from her yet, you will soon. Please note that if you have any appointments in the future scheduled with her, the date and time haven’t changed. The only thing that will be different is simply the location.
I appreciate Courtney’s dedication to Wildflower Salon since the very beginning. It was a major change for her back in 2018 when she agreed to join me in my new endeavor. I will never be able to thank her enough for all her extra help at the salon during my absence. However this loyalty, love, and support extends way beyond just the salon; 💕 it’s been over twenty years of unwavering friendship. I would never be able to explain how grateful I am for that! ❤️

Taylor moved earlier this month to Pure Beauty Salon located in downtown Sycamore. You can contact Taylor directly at 815-970-7400. I wish nothing but the best for Taylor at her new place!
Along with Courtney, Taylor has also been at Wildflower since the very beginning. They both agreed to come on board while the salon was still under major instruction. We were all pretty nervous of the unknown but, I need to thank Taylor specifically for putting her faith in Mike and I. Taking into account how young she was at that time, I know it was an even scarier leap for her to take. ❤️

To our loyal clients:
🙏🏼 I can speak for all of us by saying thank you to all the clients that continuously put their trust in us to provide their beauty services. Thank you for all the referrals that you sent our way, as there is no bigger compliment that you could give a stylist. Thank you for supporting all the stylist that came and went throughout the years. And finally, a special thanks to those clients that have followed some of us for more than twenty years. I can’t think of a better example than that to define what it means to be a loyal customer.

To family and friends (and friends that are like family):
Thank you. Those two words should be said far more often than what they are. When a client visited the salon we always thanked them before they left, because their continued patronage is how we measure our success. I’m realizing more lately that the kind of support that family and friends provide is unique, and the value of it could never be measured. I’m finding their support comes in many different forms. I think it’s little things that you don’t necessarily see at the time, but rather, something you only appreciate when you look back. Thank you to those that encourage us the most and cheer the loudest when we succeed.

There is nothing good about saying “goodbye” in any situation. However, I’m finding that an unplanned farewell hits a bit harder. ☺️ Dr. Seuss said it best ….
“Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened”….

Today we celebration and honor America’s veterans for their patriotism, love of country, and willingness to serve.
We will forever keep in our hearts the armed service members that gave their life fighting for our country.
We are forever grateful and proud of our veterans, often making the decision at a young age, that joined the military willing to accept the fact that they may never come home.
And we will continue to love and support our veterans that made it home but, didn’t come home the same. The ones that live with painful physical injuries, and the ones that carry the pain we can’t always see.
We recognize the dedication and sacrifice they gave when they left their loved ones behind to fight for not only them, but ALL families.

It’s our obligation as American citizens to thank our veterans for helping to preserve the rights, privileges and freedoms we enjoy today! All luxuries that are far too often overlooked and taken for granted.
As Americans it is our patriotic duty to show gratitude to our veterans not only on November 11th; rather, show that gratitude everyday.
