Praise the Lord! It’s Friday! What are you Labor Day plans?

ITS NOT A COMPETITION….but it’s fun to hear. A lot goes into it though, getting to know your client, their bodies and the issues they’re trying to face but a one time therapist might miss those because, well they don’t know you. Glad you noticed the effort I put into your massage!

I use be a social worker. 😃 can you tell? Sometimes people joke about dark things—like “I want to not be here” on an especially hard day—and I know it’s often just a way of saying, today is kicking my ass.
But with my social work background, my brain is going to take that joke a tiny bit seriously. 😂

So if I suddenly ask, “What are your plans for this next week?” or “Tell me three things you’re grateful for,” and, “do you feel like a threat to yourself or those around you?” You know, normal things to ask. I promise you’re still funny, and you’re absolutely still in a safe place to vent.

I’m just doing my little social-worker double-check: Okay, I hear the joke… but are we actually okay? 😂
