Hello everyone my daughter will be going on a service trip to El Salvador and she is asking for your help to sponsor her trip. Here is her letter to you!

Dear Family & Friends, I hope you are reading this in good health!

I am reaching out to you to share an exciting opportunity that I am participating in This February. As you may or may not know, the organization Young Life has been taking students from Upstate New York to the rural villages of the Bajo Lempa Region of El Salvador since 2006. This February along with over 50 adults and highschoolers from Syracuse, I will be joining the 17th trip to Rancho Grande!

To be honest, it’s an incredible gift for me to be able to participate at all! As we hear news each day about people from Central America migrating to our southern border and the incredible difficulties so many people are facing, we are excited that the on-going work with Young Life in Bajo Lempa has been a small part of the success of helping Salvadorans creating a sustainable world for themselves. A small example of this would be the large-scale irrigation projects that were developed in the villages over the past 5 years. Those same projects helped to sustain the communities during the lock-downs when covid was worse than it is now. On this trip, we will continue to address housing needs and the expansion of clean water to more families!

As you’ve probably guessed by now, I am writng to ask for your help. Would you consider sponsoring me to participate in this trip? Money I raise will help cover the cost of airfare, expenses and will be used for the projects we work on while in El Salvador in February. All donations are tax deductible and no money is used for administrative fees. Any surplus funds raised will be donated to Young Life’s work with teenagers throughout El Salvador. In the unforeseen event that the trip is cancelled, 100% of the funds will be sent to benefit our friends in El Salvador.
