I've always said to my clients that y'all are accustomed to a certain lifestyle and y'all have replied it throws you off tremendously when circumstances out of your hands take away something that is a part of your routine. So many people were and are still affected by the shutdown, inflation, the generalness of the world being on fire. I want everyone to be able to still feel themselves while navigating life right now! A little about me! I'm from a not-so-small-anymore town in Texas and have lived in Washington for almost ten years (with a little blip in Colorado). I've been in the beauty industry for twelve years as a licensed cosmetologist and in that time, I've done a little bit of it all! Behind the chair, receptionist, educator, waxer for a large corporation, and now the best of them all, small business owner 🥰 While in school I loved waxing, but never thought I would end up where I am today. The universe absolutely provided exactly what I wanted and needed in my life.

Waxer and business owner aren't my only titles. I'm also Wifi to the most supportive and sweet husband, mom to the cutest cats, dog, and leopard gecko, and 📣LIIIIV to my littles who aren't so little anymore. I love all things Alien (the 1979 sci-fi horror movie), adventure time, and Stardew Valley. On my days off you can catch me on my couch or out at Owen Beach just basking in the sun like a lizard. My big three are Virgo ☀️, Virgo 🌙, and Scorpio ⏫ so do with that information what you will 😉

I'm not only passionate about what I do, I'm also damn good at it. I love being a part of your self care, being a part of your families, and making you feel confident and comfortable in your skin. Waxing is so much more than just removing hair to me. It's also educating, showing you that you aren't alone, supporting you, and giving you advice. My marketing student was super busy these last couple of months and basically had to start fresh, while my security gal has been consistent for almost a year now. Let's talk ✨exfoliants✨
The best way to achieve smooth and consistent results of body waxing is exfoliating. By definition exfoliants are either a mechanical or chemical agent used to remove dead skin cells from the surface; at Livira Waxing I offer both! ✌🏻

AHA, or alpha hydroxy acid, is a mild chemical exfoliant. Don't stress when you hear the word chemical! It's naturally derived!🍍A great example is when you eat too much pineapple and it tears the roof of your mouth up; that's the acid breaking down skin. Why is it good for body waxing? For sensitive skin, this is a wonderful option because it gently removes dead cells without too much abrasion. I personally use this the first time exfoliating after a wax! I also carry scented or unscented for my sensitive girlies. 🫧

Most of you will be more familiar with the other option, which is a physical exfoliant! 💪🏻 Deck Scrub from is by far my favorite scrub I've ever used. Key ingredients are pumice, Canadian willow herb to calm redness and bumps, bamboo stem to remove dead skin, and vitamin E to hydrate. This thick, powerful exfoliating scrub is designed to keep your skin soft, smooth, and irritation free between waxes and makes your next wax a million times easier! Wait 48 hours after waxing to use in order to give your skin time to recover.
