They spend their days caring for everyone else. 🤍

But this day? This day was about THEM.

Four incredible women sat in my chair, each working in healthcare and each so accustomed to pouring into other people that there isn’t always much energy left to pour back into themselves.

So for one day, they chose themselves.

They chose to be bold. Brave. Vulnerable.

They chose to step outside of their everyday lives and experience themselves in a way some hadn’t felt in a long time—and for some, maybe ever.

And I had the absolute honor of being a small part of that.

Yes, I did hair and makeup. We played with lashes, embraced natural texture, added curls and volume, went soft and glowing for some and turned up the glam for others.

But this wasn’t about making these women look like someone else.

It was about watching them look into that mirror and begin to see themselves differently.

And THAT part gets me. 🥹

Because sometimes beauty isn’t about becoming someone new.

Sometimes it’s about rediscovering the woman who’s been there all along.

One of my favorite parts of being a bridal hairstylist is that no two journeys are ever the same.

Some wedding mornings start before sunrise.
Some require a ferry ride.
Some take me down winding back roads to places I’ve never been before.

But every mile has the same purpose.

Showing up for someone who has trusted me with one of the biggest days of their life.

It’s never just about the hair.

It’s about helping someone feel calm when they’re nervous, confident when they’re excited, and cared for throughout the whole experience.

So whether your wedding is down the road, across the Sound, tucked into the mountains, or somewhere in between…

I’ll pack the curling irons, grab my coffee, and hit the road. 💛

POV: Ok that was fun! Lately, I’ve been taking some time to do more things that bring me joy. It was a huge goal I made for myself and Ive been up too all sorts of shenanigans lately! I needed a break from real life… so recently, I built a tiny one! 🌿✨

A little less stress, a little more play,
gluing tiny flowers at the end of the day.

No pressure to rush, no need to be fast,
just losing myself in a moment that lasts.

Each shelf, each leaf, each miniature scene,
felt like a breath I didn’t know I needed in between.

She’s cozy, she’s calm, she’s perfectly mine…
and turns out peace can come in a palm-sized design.

It may not be hair… but something about me?
I loooove tiny things and rhyming brings me glee 🤣😂

Styled with Intention isn’t just what I create…
it’s how I slow down, reset, and reconnect.

2025 was so full.
Full of work I’m proud of, people I love, and lessons I didn’t know I needed—but deeply respect now.

✨ I had the honor of being part of so many meaningful wedding days, creating calm, confidence, and intentional beauty during once-in-a-lifetime moments.
✨ I continued volunteering in spaces that remind me why beauty matters beyond aesthetics—connection, dignity, and care.
✨ I stepped into leadership through competitions and education, advocating for students, standards, and the future of our industry.

And just as importantly—

🤍 I slowed down enough to spend real, present time with my loved ones.
🤍 I made space for things that genuinely bring me joy—creativity, rest, laughter, and being outside of “go mode.”
🤍 I faced burnout honestly, reconnected with myself, and began healing instead of pushing through.

Not every part of 2025 was easy—but it was intentional.
It taught me that rest is productive, alignment is powerful, and growth doesn’t have to come at the cost of yourself.

💫 Which brings me to this next chapter:
I’m incredibly grateful and excited to be transitioning into my new role with Clover Park Technical College—a space where education, integrity, and truly align with who I am as an educator and human.

This year wasn’t about doing more.
It was about doing what matters—with intention.

Here’s to lessons learned, joy reclaimed, and moving forward grounded and whole. 🤍
