As we approach Mother’s Day, it’s hard to believe my mom has been gone for 5 months. I will sometimes forget and think about texting or calling her to share whatever silly or interesting thing that pops up before quickly realizing that isn’t reality. We were close. She was close with her grandkids too. Involved in such a way you always felt seen.

She recognized her privilege and always used her voice, however that looked through the years. She taught this to us early and often, unapologetically.

One of the things she did was donate to . She would ask us to do the same for Mother’s Day. So in the spirit of my mom, I’m putting it into the universe. Instead of doing a sale or some promotional event. Donate, share and use your voice.

It’s been a hot sec since I’ve shown my face around here. I typically don’t like to be in front of the camera. It doesn’t get easier being middle aged. I read somewhere it’s like going through puberty again. In terms of hormone imbalances, feeling awkward in your body, and all the skin issues(anyone else?!) and that felt accurate. 😂🥴

Anyways, it’s me with all the anxiety, awkward smiles and frizzy hair.
