The next entry into the painted corset series with Halloween themed, 2 slightly different edits. 📷😍

This one is ready for paint and hair work.

One of the sculpts I did for .fx :)

Wanted to post this cosplay by my friend and cosplayer , shot by . The reason I'm posting this in particular is that "Gideons Hammer" is the weapon Kitty commissioned from me for the shoot. I used foam for this.

This wooden ship model is now ready for me to start rigging the sails......

Another half mask in the works, these pieces are meant to look highly theatrical, not my normal style.

Finished piece, it's fun doing these wearable half masks.

Had a great time spending time with my dear friend Duby from Orange County today. Been years since we've had the opportunity to hang out together. We've been friends since 1973. It was nice of him to bend down to get in the picture with me :)

Got to go down to the opening night of Knotts Scary Farm and see the display I worked on with the talented crew over at .fx this past summer (I sculpted the head). Back in 91, before I moved up to Washington , Scary Farm was the last job I had, I was one of the prosthetics artists on staff.(also where I met my dear friend Elle ) Also had the extreme pleasure of hanging out with my Cousin Bob,( who, by sheer happenstance, was the first character to roam the streets back in the 70's, kicking off what has become the standard fare.) His son Ethan and his fiancee Allie

Always a pleasure working with my sweet friend Nikita , getting her ready for her runway show tonite.

I'm not sure if I ever posted this piece. This was an original design I did years ago. Super Sculpey, with leather, fur and other mixed media. One of a kind. I've been using since 1991, it's one of my favorite sculpting medium.

I'm starting to create a small army of different orc helmet designs, the ones on the right and left are from patterns I purchased from my friend Nick over at , the middle one is based on a basic helmet from Ted , then I build the rest from reference material I found online

Just finished the paint work for this orc helmet I made a while back. foam.

Just a cleaner shot so you can see the sculpt a bit better 😀

The things I have just sitting around the shop.....back many years ago, maybe in the late 90's early 2000's? I was hired to lifecast the entire band of Pearl Jam for their video "Life Wasted" ( which can be found on YouTube). I still have this clay press out of Eddy Vedder . The guys were all very patient during the process, and very kind.

A few months ago, I was given the task to sculpt the head of "The Sinister Seymore" for a permanent display down at Knotts Berry Farm thanks to my friend Mike over at .fx. This is for celebrating 50 years of Knotts "Scary" Farm (my last job in California before moving up to Washington was being on the prosthetics team for that event in 91.) This was an extremely challenging task, as there're no good clear pictures of "Seymore " to be found, mostly screen shots from the 70's. I enjoyed the challenge and will be down at Knotts next week for the opening of the new museum.

New sculpt on the bench mask

Not an untypical site in my makeup room trash.

Ok, calling this piece done...what a trip. Patterns, foam, and build videos by I used aspects of Gears of War 4 that aren't in Steve's patterns or videos, it's great to be creative. For some reason these pictures look like there's a lot more blue in the armor, it's actually quite silver/blackish

Painting has begun, so many layers to come.

Base layer down

Well, pretty much done with the overall build. Next, I'll get some more battle damage and other textures on and then it's ready for paint. If you like creating cosplay builds, head on over to for Steve's patterns and videos, and pick up sks foam over at

Ok, soldering finished, now to work on completing the shoulder straps, then a couple of more tweaks here and there, and this will be ready for me to paint.

"This is the way"... first time soldering these little leds, and it was a success. One more panel to go.

Thought I'd bust out another Orc helmet while I'm waiting to solder my lights in my Gears of War armor. Pattern by my friend Nick over at and for the foam. Now off to by birthday dinner wirh family

Slowly but surely working on this Gears of War build using foam and patterns. My most challenging build yet, but Steve over at SKS Props has not only great foam to work with, but great patterns as well. I've found with this build in particular, placement of pieces is so very important or you can really throw off the symmetry of the overall build. Love the challenge and look forward not only to finish this up, but to play around with the basic patterns and play with a new and different design.
