What an absolutely incredible night with The Stonebrook Project!

Watching my team of therapist be recognized for their work with TSP was so awesome to watch. My heart was bursting.

Being a witness to all the Honorees last night is a privilege I do not to take for granted. The ability to do this work and be a part of their story in not lost on me. It’s truly near and dear to my heart.

Being surrounded by some of the people I love the most always makes a great night but having them there to support myself, my team and my passion was amazing.

Thank you all who support and encourage The Palms Massage & Wellness and the work we do but mostly thank you for supporting the cancer community right here in Tahlequah. They are an incredible group of humans that deserve all the kindness and generosity.

Portraits of Hope: Amber Margarite

Today, we are honored to introduce Amber Margarita, one of the women The Palms nominated for the Stonebrook Project Portraits of Hope Gala.

We are grateful that The Palms could be part of her journey even if only a small part.

Amber has completed her treatments, and we are celebrating her strength, resilience, and this next chapter.

On September 19, Amber will be recognized at the Stonebrook Project Portraits of Hope Gala.

We invite our community to join us in supporting the Stonebrook Project and their mission to provide compassionate care to those facing cancer.

Every act of support matters.

The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center has an Integrative Medicine Center that offers services such as oncology massage, acupuncture, meditation, nutrition counseling and other supportive therapies alongside traditional cancer treatment.

Research shows that acupuncture may help reduce radiation related dry mouth in some head and neck cancer patients. Oncology massage may help lower anxiety and stress, encourage relaxation, improve sleep and provide comfort during an incredibly difficult season.

We will never claim that integrative therapies replace essential medical care such as surgery, radiation, chemotherapy or medication. They are designed to complement medical treatment. There is value and need for both approaches.

Integrative care is about supporting the whole person: body, mind and spirit. It can offer a little more comfort, a little more rest and a moment to simply breathe while someone is walking through cancer treatment.

This is why the work of The Stonebrook Project matters. We are proud to provide oncology massage as part of that circle of compassionate, supportive care.
