If you take care of your crown, it will take care of you. The life of your unit and the way she looks depends on how you treat her. Here are some ways that you can take care of her:

✨ Be gentle with your hair. Don’t just throw your wig down anywhere when you take her off or you’ll have to restyle it more often. Invest in a mannequin head (a foam one from the beauty supply store will do just fine) and thank me later 😉.

✨Wash frequency depends on your wear and activity but once a week is safe. Wash with a shampoo that cleanses but doesn’t dry the hair out. I love oil therapy shampoo for my wigs because it does exactly that.

✨If you are not deep conditioning every time, make sure you are at least using a good conditioner (Aussie Miracle 7 in 1 is my go to and Silicon Mix or deep conditioning) and letting it sit on the hair for a minimum of 30 minutes. A few hours to overnight is ideal but I recognize everybody doesn’t have that type of time.

✨You should not need to put product in your hair. Conditioning creams, water mixed with conditioner, all that stuff weighs the hair down so it gets matted, dried and tangled faster because of the product buildup. If you must, only use lightweight products like silk oils for shine or lightweight leave in sprays, only while the hair is damp.

Doing these will make sure your hair investment goes a long way. Take care of your crown and it will take care of you 👑
