August always feels like a reset.
Summer schedules start winding down, routines pick back up, and it's a great time to show your hair (and yourself) a little extra love.
If your scalp is feeling a little...summer—think sunscreen, dry shampoo, sweat, chlorine, or product buildup—my Scalp Reset add-on is one of my favorite ways to start fresh.
🌿 Clarifying cleanse
🌿 Nourishing scalp treatment
🌿 Long relaxing massage
🌿 Hot towel
It's the perfect little reset before heading into a busy fall.
✨ Available as an add-on to any appointment.

Now that's what I call a good blend. 🤍
A classic partial highlight is one of my favorite ways to blend gray hair naturally. It softens the grow-out, brightens around the face, and helps everything melt together instead of creating a harsh line.
The best part? People notice the beautiful blonde—not the gray.
Low maintenance. High confidence. ✨

Twenty years ago I was just hoping I'd figure life out.
Somewhere along the way, I did.
Not because I had some big master plan, but because I found work that never stopped challenging me, teaching me, and introducing me to incredible people.
I've learned that the best part of this job isn't the color formulas or the haircuts—it's the conversations, the trust, and the relationships that happen in between.
I still can't believe I get to call this my career.
Thank you for being part of it. 🤍

The older I get, the more I appreciate the little details.
A few brighter ribbons. A little shadow at the root. Soft dimension that catches the light.
Those subtle touches are what make a blonde feel natural, effortless, and beautifully lived in. Sometimes it's the smallest details that make the biggest difference. ☀️🤍

Blonde Tip of the Day:
The secret to an expensive-looking blonde isn't always being lighter.
It's healthy hair.
✨ Shine.
✨ Softness.
✨ Dimension.
A little hydration, UV protection, and an occasional gloss will do more for your blonde than chasing the lightest shade ever could.
Your blonde should look like it's thriving—not just surviving summer. ☀️💛

💜 Purple shampoo not doing its job? Here are three reasons why...
✨ Your hair isn't light enough.
Purple shampoo only neutralizes yellow tones on light blonde, silver, or gray hair. If your hair is darker or more golden, it may need a gloss or toner instead.
⏱️ You're rinsing it out too soon.
Purple shampoo isn't your everyday cleanser. Give it a few minutes to work (follow the directions on your bottle!) so the violet pigments have time to neutralize brassiness.
🫧 Buildup is getting in the way.
Hard water, styling products, and dry shampoo can coat the hair, making it harder for those purple pigments to do their job. A clarifying or chelating shampoo every so often can make a big difference.
💡 Purple shampoo is a maintenance product—not a miracle worker. If your blonde still isn't looking the way you want, it might be time for a gloss or toner at the salon.
Save this post for your next wash day! 💜

Is there any such thing as a sun kissed bob? I say, why not?! We got there using a few different formulas for dimension. We also love to make a little wave using a simple technique with my flat iron. Should I make a little tutorial?
Lightweight, low-maintenance, and always cute. Consider this your sign to make the chop. ❤🤎

Dimension doesn't always have to be blonde. 🤎
A few subtle ribbons of lighter color can add movement, shine, and softness while keeping that rich brunette feeling.
One of my favorite kinds of transformations. ✨

Somehow we're halfway through July already.
Have you stopped to think about how much has happened this year? Or have you just been in "one foot in front of the other" mode?
I think most of us have been doing the latter.
This week, I'm reminding myself that self-care doesn't have to be a big vacation or a spa day. Sometimes it's slowing down enough to wash your makeup brushes, drink more water, take a walk, schedule the haircut you've been putting off, or spend five extra minutes taking care of something that takes care of you.
Little things have a funny way of adding up.
(And yes...this is also your gentle reminder to clean your hairbrush. 😉)

Holy cow. TWENTY YEARS licensed as a cosmetologist in the state of Florida.
The gravity of that just blows my mind. I can't believe it's already been 20 years. They say time flies, and man... they're right.
I'm so grateful my parents didn't force me into college right out of high school. Instead, they gave me the time and space to find myself. I bounced between a handful of odd jobs in industries I was vaguely interested in until my mom's hairstylist needed an assistant. When I started at Siggy's Hair studio in 2005 I was directionless and truly didn't have any goals. I called my dad after my first week and said I want to go to beauty school. One year later I was licensed and the rest is history.
I never imagined becoming a hairstylist professionally. Sure, I'd done my friends' hair for homecoming, chopped up my Barbies' hair, and even gave the cat a buzz cut—but who knew all of that was foreshadowing?
Thank you to everyone who kept showing up for me when I could barely show up for myself.
Thank you to the teachers for the endless days of detention for talking during class.
Thank you to the friends who laughed in my face when I said I was going to beauty school.
Thank you to every client who has appreciated not just my work, but my personality.
And thank you to my parents, who never stifled my creativity.
This is hard work, and it's work worth doing well. I'm so grateful for everyone who has helped shape me into the person I am while still allowing me to remain exactly who I've always been.
I get to be unapologetically myself every single day, and I know that's a gift.
It's been a little luck, a lot of hard work, countless ups and downs... and I've appreciated every moment.
🥂Cheers to 20 years. ❤️✂️
