From the suit to gym clothes today! I take a look at my Vision board every day which keeps me focused on my goals and motivates me to win every day.
I also have a list of Productivity Items that I do at least one task from each every day.
Mine are:
1- Family
2-Personal Development
3- Work
4- Fitness
Today I hit my development one by going to class for my EMBA at USF. Graduation is around the corner, and I can replace this with a new challenge on my Vision board. I hit my fitness item today getting a lift, crushed Back/Bis. I also had a personal training client so I checked off my Work item. Grilling and movie night for Family to end the day off with a bang. I recommend creating a Vision board composed of things that define your purpose and pictures of items that you will achieve in the future!
Separately build a Productivity guide to help keep you accountable. Doing this has been a game changer for me. Give it a try. It’s amazing what you put on paper can come to reality!

I can’t believe it’s been 6 years since we took this photo. We were both into competing heavy and I would be coaching Otis to get his pro card and compete on the Olympia stage. We were living thousands of miles apart as well. Fast forward to now and we’ve both gone through LOTS of changes and both of us now live in same city in Florida! Our friendship is still the same. Surround yourself with good and motivated people because it’s contagious!

“Change is inevitable, but personal growth is a choice.”
It’s been a busy last 18 months as I’ve been pursuing my EMBA from USF while balancing my career, coaching business, family, etc. I just received my graduation headshots and class pictures so I can see the light at the end of the tunnel lol. Only two more days of school left as I approach graduation in less than a month.
I often post fitness related content, but it’s important to pursue personal development in your mental, spiritual, and career as well! The physical fitness is only one part of health and wellness. Education is a key component of growth and it doesn’t always have to be formal. It can be reading a book or listening to an informative podcast. I have education on my daily productivity guide and vision board. Just carving out a little time each day adds up over the course of months and years…. Give it a try!

Which should I do first: strength training or cardio?
This is a hot fitness topic and the answer depends on a few different things, but the quick response is ...
STRENGTH TRAINING.
That’s because strength training requires more anaerobic effort – aka quick, powerful bursts of energy. Doing strength training first means you’ll have more energy to perform them properly and safely... giving you better results from your efforts.
Cardio, meanwhile, requires more aerobic effort – aka moderate, sustained energy, that isn’t as taxing on your system.
But the real-life answer comes down to your goals & personal preference.
If you like doing cardio first, then that’s OK. Do it first. The most important thing is that you actually WORK OUT!
