PSA: with tax season not to far away.. I know everyone waits for that money to either buy a car or upgrade the car they have! THIS YEAR u must be on high alert about ur money! Everyone knows what happens when under carriages of cars get wet right? Same thing that happens to bikes left outside in the rain.. THEY REST! can u ride a rusty bike? No! Now keep that in mind when car shopping.. LOTS of cars have been underwater here in Florida and other states..
now this is how u protect urself! When someone even a dealer tries to sell u a car… don’t listen to anything they have to say.. get the vin number off the car .. go on google and look up “vin number look up” websites.. pick one… pay the 2.00 or whatever they asking .. don’t pay more than a $1 or $2.. some will let you pay once and use it for 30days … them are the ones I like to use cos now u can shop for a car unlimited vin look ups for 30days! Anyway look up that vin number… it’s going to tell u if that car has been in any accidents.. or any floods… these people whos cars were flooded out ARE CALLING their insurance companies and making claims .. once a claim is made on a car… the insurance company marks it and it’s added to the “carfax ” as we hear all time check the carfax .. that’s what it tells u when u search the VIN (how many owners, what states the car has been registered in, flood damage, accidents that have happened to the car)
NOW… There’s more… some people don’t pay for insurance that covers flood damage to their car.. so now they have a car that won’t start and no money to fix it … so they are going to sell that car to someone for $300-$500 … the person that buys the car cash will change the electrical parts, let it dry, and sell it for 10x what they paid for the car…
Now because the insurance company never got involved it won’t be on the VIN.. that means u got to get down on the ground on ur back and look up under at the belly of that car with the light on ur phone.. you look for rust or damage with ur own God given eyes!
Now I done did all I could to warn y’all & gave y’all good advice to protect yourselves! So don’t come on here Spring of 2025 talking about how Matilda daddy done sold u a lemon and it’s all rusted out at the bottom and won’t drive no more!
It’s a sucker born everyday and all a car salesman needs is one sucker… don’t be a sucker do ur research!!!
