This type of filler transformation will always require adding little sprinkles of filler in various places for the most natural, balanced result.

For her, we addressed:

• Chin/ chin shadow- these areas were critical. We added protection & rounded out the chin as well as softened the chin shadow transitions all around the chin. This gives the “airbrushed” look.

• NSNJ- her nose didn’t need much. We mainly worked on giving her some lift in the tip of her nose, and correcting a very slight curve in her bridge.

• Undereye- adding filler to the mid cheek/ undereye area is key when it comes to keeping a face looking refreshed without appearing overfilled.

• Lips- in this case, she already had great structure & hydration. We really just focused on adding a little bit of volume & height to shorten the length of the lip to nose.

One of my favorite patients! We’ve discussed treating her under eyes before but have been a little hesitant because herniated undereye fat pads are some of the trickiest to work with when injecting. She’s been thinking about a lower blepharoplasty but I told her I could probably give her about a 60% improvement with filler.

• Depending on the degree of herniation, surgery may be the only answer for total correction.

• If a patient isn’t ready for surgery or wants to opt out completely, filler can be a great option when it comes to blending out the undereye/ mid cheek to conceal the fat pads. Often we will split this into 2 sessions about 2-3 months apart for best results! So happy she’s thrilled about her results 🤍

My favorite facial balancing trifecta: NSNJ, lip & chin 🤍

One of the most common concerns I hear daily from my patients is that they look tired. My main focus with this patient was to make her look more lifted, healthy, awake (though she is clearly beautiful as is).

With the undereyes, my goal is a 50-70% improvement during the first session. Then at the second session, about 3 months later, my goal to get as close to 100% correction as possible, BUT this is based on many factors (skin quality, fat pad herniation, etc). This area can be very simple to treat, but can also be very complex. There should always be some level of concavity to the undereye area.

In addition, I added volume to her medial cheek. If there is a lack of volume in this area, I will need to add support here before I start working on the undereye. I also did some slight enhancements to her chin, adding some length to balance the rest of her gorgeous face.
