If you have been in our studio we hope you have noticed this Craftivism banner. Facilitated by made by community members over the last few years. We are also always accepting hearts to add. You can use your own reycled material or we can provide some.

Banner: "Sewist Unite"

"Sewist Unite" is a collaborative art piece celebrating unity and resilience within the community towards LGBTQAI+ folks. It features individually sewn hearts created by community membera who share a common goal of advocating for LBGTQAI+ rights and visibility.

These hearts, crafted from recycled materials and fabrics, represent love, acceptance, and unity. They embody the diverse voices within the community, showcasing strength, resilience and compassion.

The hearts are displayed on a vibrant banner in the colors of the trans flag, symbolizing collective identity and visibility. The message, "We will not be silent," boldly declares our unwavering determination to combat discrimination and fight for LGBTQAI+ rights.

"Sewist Unite" serves as a powerful reminder of the strength found in unity and solidarity. It highlights the transformative power of craftivism and invites viewers to reflect on the importance of amplifying marginalized voices.

Through this art piece, we aim to inspire dialogue, empathy, and action towards creating a more inclusive and equitable society where human rights are upheld and celebrated.

Together, as sewists and advocates, we can unite to create lasting change and support a world where every voice is heard and valued.

This is not one on one, you will be mentored by every person on the staff; it's a safe space to explore your creativity and a supportive community to help you grow. We are open to place 2 hairstylist apprentices at this time. DM for more info
