Originally from Boston, I've been a hairdresser for twenty years,

I began on Avanti, 11 Newbury St. After completing my apprenticeship I worked at Linear Aveda in the South End, and trained with Aveda as a haircolor educator, certified to teach the then new color line to other instructors at Aveda Colega Canada as part of a global educator interview. I relocated to New York City and became manager of the the Roberto Novo Salon in Chelsea, a salon catering to luminaries such as Jennifer Coolidge,Grace Jones and Calvin Klein. I graduated into the West Village's Robert Kree Salon (Sarah J Parker & Julianne Moore's favorite place for a blowout). After that salon shuttered it's doors, I worked at Kree's opulent, over-the-top Chris Chase Salon. I now works as a colorist at the Roy Teeluck Salon on 57th & Madison Avenue as a colorist. Roy Teeluck is well known for exemplary styling at the Oscars, as well as being a judge on Bravo's Shear Genius, the master that the winner of the show gets a chance to apprentice with. The salon is highly regarded and recently voted as one of NYC's top salons, especially for it's signature Balyage technique of highlighting hair.
