Dr. Maya N. Younker, MD, MS, it has been a blessing to watch you succeed and attain your dreams. Graduating med school could be seen as a goal, but that sounds too practical in my opinion. That sounds like the late night study sessions, the anxiety inducing exams, and all of the work you have put in was easy…and I hope you know that we know it was anything but.

Through it all you have remained yourself, strong minded, humble, beautiful, caring, loving, and of course type A af. As a high school friend turned into one of your cheerleaders, I’m humbled at the opportunity to celebrate you and your accomplishments.

Thank you for consistently inspiring us all to strive to make our dreams come true. I’m so glad you kept going, I’m so glad to call you my friend, and I can’t wait to continue telling everyone I know about my girl, Dr. Maya N.
