Brows by Lys
I enhance natural beauty through permanent makeup. Specialized in Brows, Lips, Training + more!
If you’re new here, start here. 🤍
Permanent makeup isn’t one-size-fits-all—and neither is my approach.
Some of my clients want soft and subtle. Others want a transformation you can see. Neither is wrong.
The goal is to create brows that make sense for your face, your style, and the way you want to show up.
20+ years in the beauty industry and six years specializing in permanent makeup have taught me that good brow work isn’t just about mastering a technique.
It’s knowing what to do, where to do it, and how far to take it.
Currently serving my established New Jersey clientele + preparing to bring Brows by Lys to the Wilmington, NC area.
Not sure which brow style fits you? Start with my Brow Quiz in the link in my bio.
Welcome to Brows by Lys. 🤍
A little behind the scenes before you sit in my chair. 🤍
Two clients a day, on purpose. Your appointment deserves its time.
Back in Jersey September 17–20. DM me “JERSEY” for availability.
Brows changed my life, but choosing them was the first bet I had to make on myself.
I was tired of barely getting by and knew I was capable of so much more.
So I:
• started over before I felt ready
• invested heavily in learning the skill
• practiced until my work matched my vision
• kept improving long after I became “good”
• built my name one client at a time
• treated my talent like a real business
• eventually became the educator I once needed
It wasn’t one course, one client or one lucky break.
It was deciding I wanted more for my life, and refusing to stop until I created it.
And now I get to help other artists create what brows created for me.
My 3-Day Advanced Ombré Intensive is coming to New Jersey this November. 3 spots left. Hands-on training. Real models. Real business growth.
DM me “TRAINING” for the details.
if you want brows designed specifically for your face, choose an artist who customizes

I genuinely thought one PMU course would be enough. Learn the technique. Get the certificate. Start taking clients.
But every new skin type, healed result, challenge and mentor showed me there was another layer to master.
Years of continued education, I’m still learning, refining and investing in my craft.
That’s one of the biggest lessons this industry has taught me: mastery has no finish line. The best artists never stop being students.
PMU artists…what’s something your first training didn’t prepare you for?
After 20+ years in beauty and thousands of clients…I’m a bit embarrassed to admit that:
1. I can create a beautiful set of brows and still zoom in afterward looking for the smallest thing I could’ve done better.
2. I don’t just see brows. I notice facial structure, expressions, personal style and how someone carries herself.
3. I find it hard to create content while I’m working because once a client is in my chair, my focus naturally shifts to her, not the camera. I want the appointment to feel natural and normal, not a production.
4. I still get a little nervous before certain reveals. Not because I don’t trust my work, but because I know how much the transformation can mean to that person.
5. I have more than certifications than anyone I know and I still invest in training. This industry keeps changing, and I never want my experience to make me stop learning.
6. I waited longer than I should have to teach because I thought I needed to know everything before I was qualified to share what I already knew.
7. Perfection has probably slowed me down more than anything else. My work can be finished, but my eye will always find one more detail.
8. No matter how established I may look online, I’m still building, evolving and figuring out what I want Brows by Lys to become next.
9. I can map a face down to the smallest detail, but please don’t ask me to do the business math without a calculator 😂
The longer I do this, the more I realize mastery isn’t reaching a point where you know everything.
It’s caring enough to keep learning…even after everyone else thinks you’ve already made it 🫶🏼

5 reasons my clients are obsessed with their brows 🍒
Save this if you’ve been on the fence.
Because it was never really about the brows. It’s about waking up feeling like yourself before the day even asks anything of you.

Did you know there’s actually a method to how I book? 📅
I’m based in NC, but about every 5 to 6 weeks, I fly to New Jersey and set up at my usual spot. Same location, same energy, different faces in my chair.
Here’s what you need to know before you reach out 👇
Spots are limited every trip because that’s the point. This isn’t a volume game. When I’m there, I’m fully present for the clients I’ve committed to.
Swipe through to see exactly how it works, what to expect, and how to lock in your spot before my next trip.
DM me “NJ” and I’ll send you the details of my upcoming trip May 1-3 directly. Just 3 spots left!

Your brows aren’t the problem. They just need a plan!
Every client that sits in my chair gets an assessment before I ever pick up a tool. Skin type. Hair flow. Hair growth patterns. Sparse areas. All of it matters..because the brows I build for you should work with your face, not against it.
This is what that looks like in real time.
We assessed. We mapped. We executed. And she walked out with soft, natural brows that actually belong on her face.
This is the difference between someone who does brows and someone who designs them.
If you’re ready for permanent makeup that was built specifically for you..DM me the word CLIENT FILE to get started.
1 spot left for new clients.
