I woke up today with a different kind of energy.
Not a “let’s get it” kind of energy
But a quiet, clear knowing:
It’s time to lay her down.
The version of me who made it work no matter what.
Who smiled when she wanted to scream.
Who held it all together even when she was breaking inside.
She carried me through some wild seasons.
And I’m grateful for her. Truly.
But I don’t need to lead with her anymore.
I don’t need to keep fighting to be understood.
I don’t need to perform survival.
I want softness. I want presence. I want peace that doesn’t need proof.
I don’t know exactly who I’m becoming,
But I know I’m done being the version of me that only knew how to push through.
So here’s to the next chapter.
The one where I don’t have to prove anything.
The one where I get to just be.

I initially hated my new salon suite when relocating from my old space. The location of the new spot is great but the transition from a modern, beautifully designed salon suite building to one that felt outdated was depressing. The move was truly about location.

As much as the design new space brought me grief, I decided to make some changes. What I did know is that I wasn’t interested in the
copy + paste lime wash neutral aesthetic that’s been popularized in recent years— I wanted to infuse myself into the space. And although I still have a bit of tweaking left, I’m so happy with the current design.
