The truth is…
People don’t give a s**t about you and don’t pay that much attention to your looks…
Do it for you… and no one else
Hair transplants are a great option…for SOME people…if you’re on the fence or not sure here are some ways to determine if you’re a good candidate or not…
✅ Good Candidate
- stable hair loss - receding temples/crown, no longer experiencing rapid hair loss, typically late 20s or early 30s..
- strong donor area on the back and sides, I’m talking thick dense hair…
- realistic expectations…it’s not going to give you that full thick head of hair you’re hoping for but it will if done right improve your appearance …
- you might need more than one procedure (often the case)
-you’re willing to maintain it with medication, if not enjoy it for a few years and then see ya later…
🛑 Bad Candidate
- young with aggressive hair loss, thinning everywhere not just a localized spot…
- weak donor area…thin hair sides and back…
- unrealistic expectations…it’ll be better but still not GREAT…
- if you’re not willing to take meds this is absolutely no for you…
Think of it like this..a transplant just MOVES hair..it does NOT create new hair or grow NEW hair… so if you don’t have enough…you don’t have enough…
Finasteride isn’t the devil… but it’s not magic either.
It doesn’t ‘shut off’ DHT — it lowers it.
For most guys, that’s enough to slow or stop hair loss.
For some, side effects are real, for some they last for some they don’t…
The problem isn’t the drug… it’s people taking it blindly without understanding what it actually does, or understanding dosing protocols…
Know your baseline. Make your own decision. If your DHT isn’t elevated, chances are you don’t need it
I miss my people but you couldn’t pay me enough to move back 🌴 > ❄️
When I recommend you have at least 1 inch of hair on the sides, it’s so we have more options! Can we do it with less hair, yes but it limits both your options and how real we can make the hair system look.
Another thing to keep in mind is head shape, if you have a limited amount of hair on the sides it doesn’t give me the options to give you a haircut or style that will flatter your face…
So keep in mind when I tell you it’s better if you grow your hair out, I’m keeping all these things & your end results in mind
