🚨BREAKING: Rep. Thomas Massie is crossing party lines to support a Democratic-led resolution that would force Speaker Mike Johnson to take legal action against the Trump administration over military operations involving Iran.

The Kentucky Republican argues that President Trump and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth have violated key parts of the 1973 War Powers Resolution. Massie contends the administration disregarded a concurrent resolution passed under the law and improperly used temporary ceasefires to restart the 60-day clock that limits presidential military action without further congressional approval.

Massie has also criticized Speaker Johnson for allowing Congress’s constitutional war powers to weaken, saying the inaction stems from political convenience rather than principle.
