Spooky season is approaching, so let me tell you about the time I became my own worst beauty service horror story. 🎃

I was scrolling TikTok one night and saw people doing FULL Brazilians with soft wax.

Someone in the comments said their provider had damn near ripped their whole lip open and I thought, “HOW IS THAT EVEN POSSIBLE?”

Well. I found out. 🫠

I had only ever used hard wax and I do all my own waxing because I refuse to pay for something I can do myself. So obviously, I decided to try soft wax.

Everything was fine until I got to THOSE STRIPS. You know the ones.

First one: oh. I see what went wrong. I couldn’t possibly make this mistake twice, right?

WRONG.

Next thing I know, I’m sitting at my vanity bleeding from two very teeny tiny wounds, yelling for my husband to bring me Neosporin and wound wash while texting my industry friend (thanks Megan’s Beauty Suite LLC ) like,“Hypothetically… what would someone do if they just fu**ed up their own Brazilian?”

Thankfully, I healed up completely in a couple days.

Lesson learned & until I take more classes, hybrid Brazilians are my best friend. 😂

Honestly, though? I’m just glad the guinea pig was me and not one of my clients. 🫣
