Current update:

Well…. I have a long road to a full recovery. These past three weeks have been rough. Ultimately what happened was my original “sore throat” was an abscess on the inner portion of my tonsil. Unfortunately, there is no way to know exactly how it happened. The most plausible explanation is that I possibly ate something that scraped my throat causing a little cut per se. Then I either was around someone who had a virus, went to a restaurant where utensils etc… may have had a bacteria etc.. that unfortunately caused the infection that turned to an abscess. Then that abscess ended up leaking fluid slowly while I was on an antibiotic for 12 days. The antibiotic that was treating the abscess unfortunately wasn’t strong enough. But was keeping the sepsis at bay (never getting better/worse). Once I ended the first round if at home antibiotics, within 24-48 hrs the sepsis took over full blown (and very fast. Like a switch went off). Thankfully I acted very fast and went to the ER immediately when the sudden pain hit. Had I not, things could have been far worse!

I am now hopefully heading in the right direction with my recovery. I have lots of Drs appointments in my near future to ensure I am on the right path. Thankfully I don’t need my tonsils removed as an adult (I hear it’s a horrible experience).

I’m obviously cleared to resume my normal life. At times I do have some challenges. All of the medications are wearing me down. So clients, please be patient with me during this process. I will continue to work as normal. I just may not be as chatty, or energetic as usual. But I assure you, I am fully capable and happy to be behind the chair with all of you!

It is with so much pride that I share that my daughter and client, Miss Massachusetts Teen Coed 2026, will be representing Massachusetts this September at the National Pageant in Orlando, Florida! 👑

Watching her grow into the incredible young woman she is today has been one of my greatest blessings. She embodies beauty, grace, kindness, intelligence, and determination in everything she does.

Beyond the crown, she is currently pursuing a college education in engineering, breaking barriers and proving that young women belong in STEM fields. As if that wasn't impressive enough, she is also the founder of Grow With STEM, an organization dedicated to inspiring and empowering the next generation through science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

Her passion for learning, leadership, and community service continues to inspire everyone around her. She represents what it means to be a modern titleholder—using her platform to create opportunities, encourage young minds, and make a meaningful impact.

As she prepares to compete on the national stage in Orlando, I couldn't be more proud of all she has accomplished and the bright future ahead of her.
