Try standing with your feet about shoulder-width apart and walk with a slightly longer stride. A wider stance and longer gait can help you use more of your leg muscles during movement instead of overloading the lower back and hips.

A lot of people take short, tight steps without realizing it — especially after long periods of sitting, stiffness, or discomfort. Small movement changes can sometimes help reduce unnecessary tension over time.

Don’t force exaggerated steps — keep it natural and comfortable.

I am grateful to the City of Taunton’s Marketing Grant Program for supporting small businesses like mine and recognizing the importance of helping local entrepreneurs grow and compete in today’s digital world.
