I get asked where I came up with the name Sei Bella Hair Studio a lot. It's a shortened version of something my grandmother used to say to me all of the time when she'd see me, "Quanto Sei Bella", which means, how beautiful are you. It's a cherished memory from childhood. I felt that was the only thing that I came up with that deeply resonated with both my past and present that would also reflect my work behind the chair. I wanted a positive message to all of my clients that they are fearfully and wonderfully made- Psalm 139:14 and that every single person who sits in my chair IS beautiful. I'm just there to help them realize it.

Some may ask, why memorialize it on your arm with a tattoo? That part is easy. Both my grandmother and my mom had Lewy Body dementia. A fast and furious disease that strips away all of the memories in rapid progression and even changes your personality. Someday, if I ever forget, all I will need to do is look down to remember all of the parts of my life. So, it's an homage but also a distinct reminder.
