LET’S TALK BRAZILIAN WAXING ✨

Ladies, if you’ve waxed before but took a LONG break and came back thinking, “Why does this feel like my first wax again?!” 😭😂 There’s a reason!

When you stop waxing consistently, your hair has more time to grow back thicker/stronger and at different stages of the hair-growth cycle. So that first wax back can come with a little more sensation than you remember. You may also have more hair to remove at one time.

And for my first-time Brazilian wax ladies. I’m not going to lie to you, your first wax is usually the most uncomfortable one. You have a full growth of hair that has never been regularly removed from the root, so there’s simply more hair for us to wax.

But here’s the good news: CONSISTENCY MAKES A DIFFERENCE. 👏🏽

When you stay on a regular waxing schedule (usually about every 4–6 weeks), you’re removing the hair consistently from the root. Over time, many clients notice the hair comes back finer, softer and less dense, which can make future appointments feel much easier.

Also, your hair doesn’t all grow at the exact same time. Hair grows in different growth cycles, which is why your very first Brazilian may not be your cleanest or longest-lasting wax. Some hairs may still be underneath the skin and pop up days or weeks later. That does NOT mean your wax “didn’t work.”

After a few consistent appointments, we start catching more of those hairs in a similar growth cycle and THAT’S when you may start noticing smoother, longer-lasting results. ✨

So don’t judge Brazilian waxing by your first appointment. 🫶🏽 Give your wax routine time to wax TRAIN that hair!

What exactly is Dermaplaning?

Dermaplaning is so much more than just “removing the hair” from your face!

It’s a professional exfoliation treatment that uses a specialized blade to gently remove dead skin cell buildup and vellus hair (peach fuzz) from the surface of the skin.

Dermaplaning can be great for clients who want to:

✨ Remove peach fuzz
✨ Brighten dull-looking skin
✨ Improve the appearance of dry, flaky skin
✨ Help skincare products apply more smoothly

And no your hair will not grow back thicker or darker. Dermaplaning doesn’t change the structure of the hair follicle.

It’s not appropriate for everyone, especially those experiencing active/inflamed acne or certain skin conditions, which is why I always assess the skin before treatment.
