I often get asked what my absolute favorite service is and why 🤷🏼♀️ Ugh the dreaded question! ⠀

There is something about adding some natural looking dimension to the hair that just makes me giddy! It’s definitely a balance of not overdoing it, but adding enough so that you can actually see dimension. ⠀

Whenever I do any type of blonding service I always like to make sure it looks like it grew out of your head! ⠀

Wedding Day Hair and Skin Prep:
✨For hair, I typically recommend getting your hair trimmed or color touched up a couple of weeks before the wedding. This allows time if you’re wanting to make any adjustments (Ex: adding more blonde, adjusting the gloss, adding more layers, etc).
✨For skin, I recommend getting facials every 2-3 months (depending on skin needs and budget), in conjunction with a regular skin care routine. Getting a facial not only cleanses, exfoliates, and hydrates your skin, but it is customizable to address specific skin concerns (Ex: large pores, acne, uneven tone, dark spots, scarring, etc). Having a good skin care routine and regular facials will help your makeup to look flawless, but also help it to last all day.
✨Bonus tip: Don’t forget the daily sunscreen! Even on overcast days, you can still get burned and cause long term damage to your skin.

Hello!
I am Sarah Ankerman, a Southern California hair stylist and makeup artist. For as long as I can remember, I have always had a passion for hair and makeup. Whether it was going to the salon with my Mom, or playing with my Grandma’s makeup collection, I was hooked! Something about the way I felt as a little girl after I’d get my hair done, or play makeup was truly powerful to me. I felt so beautiful and I remember wanting to share that with others.
I honed in on my strong love of hair and makeup artistry came when I was on a competitive Latin and Ballroom dance team while attending UC Davis. I would help my team members with their hair and makeup for competitions, and always loved creating different looks. After graduating from UC Davis, I moved to San Diego to be closer to my husband and pursued my love of makeup. I attended makeup artistry school in Los Angeles and started working as the lead makeup artist for a local TV news station in downtown San Diego. Shortly after having my daughter, I decided to pursue my love of hair and went back to cosmetology school in the evenings.
You can find me in my private studio salon located in Temecula. In salon, I specialize in sun-kissed and dimensional blonding services. Something about the way the hair naturally looks after spending a Summer at the beach is so inspiring to me!
When I’m not working behind the chair, I am working with my mobile bridal team making brides feel their absolute best on their wedding day. I specialize in natural looking, soft glam makeup. My team and I love customizing your look based on your features and just enhancing your natural beauty.
