Summer is officially here in AZ! ☀️ With more days spent lounging by the pool, it’s critical that you’re protecting your new brows with sunscreen if you’re going to be outside for a prolonged period of time.

UV exposure will lead to premature fading of your new tattoo, and cause the color to turn blue/grey. Definitely not the look we’re going for! 🙅🏽‍♀️

*I rarely offer only microblading (hair strokes) for clients anymore. Unless you have no pores on your forehead, young, normal/dry skin and lots of fine natural brow hair, your healed results won’t look like this and can easily end up looking UNNATURAL. We can achieve a super natural look with a soft powder brow instead if you don’t meet the above criteria 🖤 If I tell you you aren’t a candidate for traditional microblading, it’s because I don’t think your healed results will be nice. I want my clients brows to look great foooorevahhh, not just for 2 weeks while they heal! 🖤

Does anybody else find social media exhausting? Don’t get me wrong, I’m grateful to have this platform to share my work and connect with some rad people, but it can be draining! I used to be so concerned with posting every day, keeping up with the algorithm, and would make myself sick over it. This last year I’ve made my mental health my number one priority, something I hadn’t done in years! I’m thankful that I’m able to connect with people in real life in my studio, and occasionally share that work online. If ya don’t see me on here as much as before, know that I’m still hustling away over here! I’ve just set more clear boundaries with work, and cherish my time with family and friends when I’m off 🖤

Fresh powder brows ☀️
Why do some brows look red right after they’re done? This can be concerning to a lot of clients, but is totally normal! PMU is a tattoo, and redness is normal and expected when working on the skin for a long time. Those with more sensitive skin can expect to be more red as well! Some of the inks I use are also modified with a warm undertone to make sure you don’t end up with grey/blue brows a year or two down the line! Either way, the redness will settle down within a couple days and heal to a beautiful neutral tone. We always customize the color to match you, so don’t worry about a little redness! 🖤
