The prettiest inspiration photo is not always the most helpful one 👀
A good inspiration photo should show your hairstylist more than the color you love. It should also communicate the brightness, dimension, placement, contrast, haircut, and overall feeling you want.
Before saving your photos, consider:
✨ Your current starting color
✨ Your hair history and condition
✨ How often you want to maintain it
✨ Whether the model has a similar natural base
✨ Where you want the brightness placed
✨ How much contrast and dimension you prefer
✨ The photos you do not like and why
I also recommend bringing more than one dream result. Your first choice may not be the healthiest or most realistic option for your current hair, but having a few possibilities helps us create a plan that still feels like you.

If I could sit down with the version of me from 10 years ago, I think she’d be surprised by how different life looks. 🥹
I spent so much of my younger years worrying about making the “right” choices, what other people thought of me, and whether I had everything figured out.
The last 10 years definitely didn’t go according to plan. I changed paths, started over, lost people, made mistakes, fell in love, built something of my own, and slowly learned to trust myself through all of it.
I’m still figuring things out, but I’ve learned that the things you go through don’t define your worth. You’re allowed to change, grow, start over, and become someone your younger self never expected. 🤍
And if I could leave 2016 me with anything, it would be to be a little kinder to herself and trust that she’ll figure it out along the way.
What’s one thing you would tell your younger self if you could talk to them today? 🥹
I used to think I needed to feel motivated before I could have a productive day.
But waiting for motivation usually meant putting things off and telling myself I’d do them later.
I’m learning to stop waiting until I “feel like it” and just start. Get ready, clean up at the salon, tackle the things I’ve been putting off, and push myself to record content even when I don’t feel completely ready 🤳☺️
The hardest part is usually starting. Once I do, one thing leads to another and I start building momentum 📈
Sometimes motivation doesn’t make you start. Starting is what creates the motivation🤍
