Okay so… you’re kidding, right? 😭

The premise had me. A freshman at an HBCU, her roommate’s ex-con brother moves into the dorm, starts gaining followers, and then somebody goes missing?! I was SEATED. 👀

But somewhere along the way, this book started making me want to DNF because I kept stopping like… huh?! 😭😂 But of course I couldn’t DNF because by then I needed to know how this thing ended. LBVS.

And then I got to the ending…

This should’ve been a dream sequence. I said what I said. 😂

This was my first Tiffany D. Jackson book, and while The Scammer was definitely not for me, I’m not giving up on TDJ. I’ll give her another go because maybe one of her other books will hit differently.
