AFTER ALMOST 5 YEARS… IT WAS TIME FOR A REBRAND!

Shannonagins Hair Shack has grown, changed, laughed, learned, and made A LOT of memories over the last almost 5 years — so we decided it was finally time for our look to grow with us! ✂️✨

Introducing the NEW look of Shannonagins Hair Shack!

Of course, we kept our signature lime green, black & silver, but we added a little POP OF PINK in honor of the one and only Dolly Parton — because a little pink, sparkle, and Dolly-inspired attitude just felt right. ✨💕

📸 A LITTLE SALON ETIQUETTE REMINDER 📸

We completely understand wanting to take pictures or videos of your child or family member while they’re getting their hair done—we love that you’re excited to capture those moments! 🫶🏼

However, we kindly ask that if one of our stylists is visible in the photo or video, please do not post it on social media without asking their permission first. Our stylists may not always be comfortable having their picture taken or shared publicly, and we want to respect everyone’s privacy.

We also want to clarify something regarding our payment process. In the recent situation, the client did not want to touch our stylist’s phone, which is completely understandable. However, our tipping screen allows the client to choose whether or not they would like to leave a tip and the amount they would like to leave. Our stylists do not add tips for clients.

Moving forward, we will be printing and posting a couple of notices in the salon explaining both our photo/privacy expectations and how tipping works on our payment device. We want everything to be as clear and transparent as possible for both our clients and our stylists.

When it comes to photos of services, before & afters, or behind-the-chair content, please allow your stylist to take those photos themselves, or simply ask before taking or posting a photo that includes them.

We appreciate everyone’s understanding and cooperation. Our goal is to create an environment where our clients and our stylists feel comfortable, respected, and valued. 🖤

Please ask before you snap, ask before you post, and never hesitate to ask us questions about your payment before completing your transaction. 🫶🏼

We are aware of a post that was made in Terre Haute Chatter regarding one of our stylists, and we feel it is important to address the situation and correct the misinformation being shared.

The claims made in the post do not accurately reflect what occurred.

The haircut was not a 3-minute haircut. The service took approximately 20–25 minutes, and our stylist charged $30 for the haircut his son requested and received.

We also want to clarify the concern regarding the payment. We understand that mistakes or confusion can happen when using our payment device. The additional $10 was a tip that the client selected and left himself. It was not entered or added by our stylist.

We stand behind our stylist. She is an excellent, talented hairstylist who takes pride in her work and cares about the clients who sit in her chair. We take concerns seriously and are always willing to have a respectful, private conversation when someone has an issue with a service.

However, we will also stand behind our team when false or misleading information is publicly shared about them. We simply ask that before assumptions or accusations are made online, the full story is understood.

We would also like to respectfully address something else: please ask for our permission before taking photos of our stylists or staff while we are working. We have had a few instances where photos have been taken of us without our knowledge or consent. We understand that we work in a public-facing environment, but we would greatly appreciate the courtesy of being asked before our picture is taken or shared.

At the end of the day, we are people doing our jobs, taking care of our clients, and trying to provide the best experience possible. A little communication, respect, and kindness can go a long way. 🖤

We will be correcting this issue as far as the client not wanting to touch the stylists phone & posting about our pictures not wanting to be taken or posted without our consent & about how our tipping works on our payment device.

I offer a little bit of everything, including blonding, dimensional & lived-in color, brunettes, vivids, color corrections, perms, haircuts, waxing, hair treatments, and extension consultations. Whether you’re ready for a complete transformation or just need a little refresh, there’s a spot in my chair for you. 🤎

•My pricing has been updated to better reflect product costs, time, and the customized experience that goes into each appointment.
•I’m currently working Monday–Friday + two Saturdays each month.
