I painted my kitchen blue and orange, and now it's time to finish the cabinet doors and drawers. I decided to stick with the natural wood against these bold colors and use the original hardware. Then, I will add some tile to bring all these textures together. Renovating this midcentury modern kitchen has been so difficult, but I'm excited to see it through!

Something I didn’t think about while renovating this house… What is actually coming out of these old pipes in a town that’s had mining running through it for decades.

So while I had the cabinet under the sink open anyway, I put in a waterdrop_filter which was small enough to actually fit past my garbage disposal. Now the water just tastes like water. No chlorine, no weird smell, no second-guessing it before I fill a glass in the middle of an Arizona summer.

Renovating my Midcentury Modern Home one room at a time. I had to replace the carpet, repaint the walls, and make this space my own, while honoring my grandparents.

Would you build your kitchen countertop from scratch? I cut down my pecan trees and tried to do everything myself! I am renovating my entire home one room at a time, and this kitchen has been a lot of work!

Paint your house yourself they said… you will save so much money they said. However. You will be painting forever. Still worth it.
